couldnt help but notice danny hughes didnt play against freo last week and isnt named this week. Hes not on the injury list (although that could mean anything) and i wouldve thought with 2 players on the long term injury list, we would be giving our rookies every chance to grab a spot. especially one who the club obvoiusly sees some talent in, giving they went through extra effort to extend his time as a rookie. is there any other reason hes not being given a go?

good point akum makes, i thought the same thing he did at first.... but i would still disagree sylvia davey jones moloney morton trengove scully grimes Those are the players that will be running through our midfield next year (excluding junior, bruce green and anyone else who wont be around come of flag tilt) add to that blease, mckenzie also jetta and wona as potentials (i remember bailey saying that he was keen for davey and wona to play simlar midfield roles in 09) also people always seem to forget that we have another 2-3 years of drafting before we are at our best. these years can be used for mids. talls take longer to develop which is why we should start developing them now

considering that they have now paid him out, there must have been absolutely ZERO interest. hawks would rather have traded him for pick 90something than have to pay him out like they have. judging by that he has no hope of being picked up by anybody, full stop.

everybody keeps talking up essendon to rectruit a key forward, i dont really see why.... don't they already have neagle, gumbleton (been injured but is highly rated) and hurley? some might be thinking hurley will play down back, but they already have pears and hooker down there and surely wouldnt need 3 monster defenders
