I used to dread melbourne collingwood games because I couldn't sit there and watch us lose. Now it's the essendon games I don't look forward to. Thankfully we get the game out of the way early and only have to play them once. It's actually been awhile since I've been to a melbourne essendon game. But gee we better win and win well tomorrow night. For 2 reasons, 1-we get a win on the board and our season back on track. But most importantly the 2nd reason is to have essendon lose again and keep the essenscum fans miserable. We have to get off to a great start, make the most of our opportunities and Id love to see Jonsey bounce back and Gawn to dominate.

As Max said on the front bar last night Jim was well ahead of his time when he started REACH. Jim did so much good work and I can't help but feel Jim's best work would be so valuable today with online bullying, trolls, social media and bullying in general. But after the 1st 2 weeks and our performances you are tempted to jump on twitter and tell the players what you think. But i didn't. Anyway someone might be sitting in the crowd and realise one of there tweets has come up on the banner. But also last year we had a REACH day where you could donate to them, so are they doing that again? I wish the media would add this in though and explain what they are doing. I just saw them talking about it on sunrise and said melbourne are putting there tweets on the banner to call out trolls. We are doing it to involve an organisation that works with young people. If you go to there facebook page it makes more sense there.

I just go back to walking out of the G after we beat Hawthorn to book a prelim all happy along with tousands of other melbourne fans. If someone had said to me then you would start next season 0-2 including losing to port r1 and you would be on the bottom of the ladder, I wouldn't have believed it. But I guess the only way is up. Which would be great to start this friday night.

Sadly after this round we could be on the bottom. Shame 7 couldn't give us more of what goodwin had to say in his presser. It got cut off to hear richo, darce and ling talking out Ling's cricket career. I couldn't give 2 hoots about that.

Is it to late to get PJ back in and get rid of Pert? PJ seems to turn things into gold. He'd be asking himself what has happened. Seriously though after you walked out of the MCG last September with those great wins against geelong and hawthorn, if someone said to you then geelong will beat you by 80 points in r2 you wouldn't have believed it. I seriously thought those days were over. Admittedly id didn't see any of the game until the last quarter, but coming home and listening to it on the radio after 1/2 time and hearing how we dominated the inside 50's but kicked squat was frustrating. We had 23 inside more 50's. How does that happen? That we lose by so much? Next week is going to be the most nerve racking week. WE CANNOT LOSE TO THE SCUM.

In the review on monday in front of the team show the moment in that final term where he didn't go hard enough for the ball. Or give him one more chance play him out of the square next week. We all know he can mark the ball really well. Maybe point out to him DeGoey has flown past him and I really do not care you are mates with Ben Simmons.

Look Ed unfortunately has history of making gaffes. I see he removed himself from this afternoons game. Wow what a punishment removing yourself from your job where he will still get paid and go and sit in your toorak mansion. Anyway go saints.

I can't believe there is no game until 4:35 today. Its saturday arvo there should be a game on at either 1:45 or 2:10. I know having Thursday nights game takes a game away but we shouldn't have to wait all afternoon

Well done to the melbourne fans travelling down to geelong. It's going to be cold, wet and miserable. But it will be fantastic if we could get the win. I expect to see a massive response tonight especially from our experienced players who were terrible last week.

Collingwood have managed to find space for there players to run free in, they switched the ball beautifully and the richmond stars hardly had an impact. Martin just the 18, Riewoldt yes he seemed to have hurt his wrist kicked nothing and you noticed the difference without Rance.

Agree. I commented last week that Petracca looks like he has put on a bit of muscle and looks bigger. But yes he has been around long enough now where he needs to start having breakout games. He needs to have an impact. I hope we see his talent shine through. I mean he was the number 2 pick in the draft and DeGoey was number 5. DeGoey is way in front at the moment.

Forget cornes, what about Brad Scott. After his player who has a reputation of cheap shots and gut punches got fined and not lucky to get a suspension, he said that players went down like mack trucks. Surely he wasn't having a go at the freo player that cunnington hit.

Logic says the pies should win because Cox dominated the prelim when Rance was there and he isn't there tonight so Cox should dominate even more. I think I want the tigs to win just so collingwood lose again. Gee Id love to see the saints beat essendon. That would be great

If the giants kicked straight this would definitely be over. But seriously only 2 goals halfway through a 3rd quarter for a team that was meant to go places this yer. What a great win by brisbane. It is interesting to see the teams apart from Richmond that started pre season later have so far lost. Actually I correct myself because hawthorn won to. Anyway lets hope our weekend can get a little better by the giants beating essenscum today.
