  1. He lsts Cameron Bruce and Brad Green as his best mates at the club as well whihc maybe shows that he is quite mature. Good that Bruce is mentoring him as Bruce also doesn't ahve the biggest frame
  2. He did rock up but got distracted doing burnouts in Crowns car park
  3. Interesting fact about Luke Ball is that his contract expires after the National draft. Therefore, if St. Kilda don't delist him before the next two list lodgment dates he is not able to nominate for the national draft, thus forcing him into teh PSD if he can't come to terms with the Saints. This may work out well for the Dee's if the Saints keep thinking that they are a chance to sign him or they decide they prefer him to play for Melbourne and not the pies or lions etc
  4. Then back it up with reasons why and "better" replacements? He is captin around the club as well a lot longer than on the field too
  5. Better to slow him down for another 2 monthes when he ahs already missed 10 monthes
  6. A bit harsh, I thought it was also because Trengrove had a good finals compaign in the SANFL, against men as opposed to boys, plus the Vic boys always get a big wrap in our media
  7. No go home factor with him. Gibbs had a massive go home factor and the Carltonscum have managed to keep him. Morabito is one of the only top prospects with a go home factor.
  8. Same reason as MElbourne picking him up with pick 18 - the clubs are not headed in that direction and want youth.
  9. He just stated that Melbourne's midfield is raw - which is true. WE have loads of young talent (Morton, Grimes, Scully, Trengrove, Strauss, Blease etc) but they are not proven at AFL level yet. Where COusins, Deledio, Tambling, Foley are proven to be quality players. Don't need to look into it too deeply they are probably having a crack but want Melbourne and Ball to make up their minds so they can start chasing who they want to get in the PSD.
  10. He had pace to burn, a supposed weakness in teh Geelong midfield and still couldn't break into the side
  11. Is Buckley to old to put on the rookie list? Would he be worth a shot on the rookie list?
  12. His disposal wasn't good enough any more, battled hard though, not teh type of player we require
  13. Maybe they think that it is to hard to complete the Jolly trade with him locked in for another few years
  14. I agree, the tigers will do for martin
  15. Top 5 is correct, from the tumurs down at punt road they would prefer to take Martin over Morabito and that he has already visited the club pre-draft camp and told him that they would take him (assuming that melbourne take trengrove and scully)
  16. I find that recruiters sometimes focus to much on players negatives and look for too many reasons to not pick a player as was teh case with Carlton with Yarran and Rich. Butcher isn't the complete package and may not have had a great season but fact is his is still the best tall mark in this years draft.
  17. YEah 12 months ago Butcher was Pick1 or at the very least 2, so careful looking into that crystal ball of yours - 12 months is along time for 16/17 year olds
  18. Colin Slyvia springs to mind? Ricky Pettard as well, Brad Green perhas as well. I think we have bigger concerns but if he does slip beyond pick 18 he will def. be worth a crack
  19. Plus I don't think that we are in dire need of my small forwards with Aussie, Maric and Jetta already on the list.
