afl.com says he's a pies supporter
-
Dees are surely foxing on the Ball thing now - if Ball had come out and said he wanted to play for us then we'd take him - but if you don't want to play for Melbourne then Melbourne doesn't want you either...
-
its no good - even when i try an image i made myself i get this msg:
The error returned was:
The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem
size is correct and there is no copyright!
any other advice would be appreciated

i cannot get an avatar to work - just says wrong file or too big when i try to upload it.... can someone give me some basic instructions? > btw my last avatar (which i managed to upload myself) simply disappeared one day... it was a pic of robbo flying high over several cats one rainy friday night at the G a few years back when we came back from being 30 odd points down...
-
encaptures everything that it means to be a dees supporter - the shot of trisha broadbridge with the team and jimma's press conference regarding his health really puts into perspective how much this club embodies the trials and tribulations of life! if any club 'deserves' a flag it's the mighty dees..
-
Thinking that if anyone can beat this you can Jim - you are an inspiration to everyone who has heard of you - can't wait to see you back at the G.
-
that was awesome
-
Just was thinking - Maclean plus pick 18 or 34 for Ball - remember Maclean won the game for us in the 06 Final against the Saints - they may view him as a fair replacement with a sweetner thrown in.. They're the same age so we're not looking any older (apart from the extra pick...).
-
Who do you guys rate higher - Ball or Maclean?
-
In terms of what we've seen this year - and thinking of the future - our 10 untouchables are:
Jack Grimes
Liam Jurrah
Cale Morton
Jack Watts
James Frawley
Jamie Bennell
Nathan Jones
Colin Garland
Stefan Martin
Ricky Petterd
With Wona, Cheney & Bate tough to miss -
Strauss and Blease could get a mention in the future - but I'm yet to see em play.

i have the same problem - i get : The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem
can someone help? my last pic was also deleted - unsure why...

I don't know why people are worried. The PP is doing exactly what it is designed to do. I don't doubt that the notion of clubs not wanting to win was discussed when it was first tabled. The reality is that if clubs do decide on that route (and we know they do) it's really not that big a deal. They will get their top picks for a year or two, then move up the table into premiership contention, clearing the way for the next team to bottom out. We are already talking about our premiership tilt in 3-4 years. Carlton (the tank team before us) are planning on being there in the next few as well. The system is working perfectly in allowing teams to rebuild and in preventing any one team from dominating for too long.
the only problem is that naturally people HATE supporting the opposition - which is what the PP makes us do. it was such a surreal game to be at.
-
Must say when i heard he re-injured his back at the start of the season I was very unhappy - so glad to see the young fella become so important to the team so quickly. He looks selfless, commited and skilled - exactly what this team needs - and a Melbourne supporter - this kid knows what it means to be a Demon.
-
Totally wrong on Grimes - he had a great game - only his third, yet he looks like he's played 100. His kicking was perfect and displayed excellent decision making under pressure. Thought Maric was pretty good as well today.
-
Watts doesn't need lessons from Robbo and if he does he was a poor pickup.
Bad call - we never stop learning and we never know who we can learn from. I'm pretty sure Robbo has learnt a couple of things in his career that he can pass on to the youth. Plus he was never an average player - he provided the team with spark, excitement and positivity - something we are sorely lacking at present.
-
Surely Robbo will be selected this weekend - our forward line sucks - and he kicked 5 goals on the weekend!! Plus any "musical" fans he may have might help increase crowd size. Carn Dees it does us no good playing him in the reserves. Anyone else agree with me?
-
Newton - provided great target
Newton - Misses set shots!!
-
i went to the game with richmond supporters and from the outset they were saying "even if we lose, we still win" because they are desperate to get rid of wallace. poor guys - today is the result of their 5 year plan....
-
did you guys see jimmy mark it in the 2nd quarter! he was sitting right behind the goals!! what a prez!
-
green is easily our best player and while this injury is bad at least it isnt a knee or worse - while on the subject, we really need to put brad green on the front page of demonland! i'm sick of looking at colin sylvia every time i come to this site (though he was pretty good today). anyway if anyone should be on that front page it should be brad green!! clearly the heart and soul of the demons!!
-
I vouch for its accuracy 100%, unless the man himself has it wrong or has a setback this week.
do you know if there is some type of preventative action in place - ie do they think they know what the problem is and how to fix it?
-
Bruce - excellent all day
missed another easy shot at a crucial time.

We should have been up by 3 goals at half time and that made all the diff..... Missed crucial goals and didnt turn up after half time..... We need to mstop play touch footy at training and learn how to bepressure the ball carriers.
Bruce - 30 meaningless touches (missed a crucial goal form 45m out with no pressure which would have made all the diff)
agree - i remember thinking that miss was gonna wreck our confidence - we really need Bruce and McDonald to take their chances. Young fellas need leaders who take chances given to them. also Miller played the best quarter of his career..
