  1. bloody hell mate let's try to keep some sort of lid on it!
  2. I'll give you 50-1 we don't win a flag by 2020, that is madness
  3. usually when you use quotation marks you write what the person actually said verbatim
  4. Agreed. Madness. There are only about 12 players in the comp who even qualify for that monster KPF goalkicker category, and Hogan looks like he could be the #1 some day Yet there are what, at least 50 great midfielders at one time in the comp
  5. Thing is though, unless his management are complete dullards, they will be aware of this also and this will create relunctancy for them to0 sign a long term deal. They will be smart enough to know to limit his commitment for another 2-3 years, then really go for the gold after that. In other words, we wil have to keep worrying about losing him. On the positive side, at least we won't have blown millions of dollars if he does his back or something like all of our superstars end up doing.
  6. Worst advice ever. If we don't give him a banner deal then someone else will and he will walk. Then we can watch him destroy the comp for a decade in someone else's colours.
  7. It's just a stupid thing to say - why would you question his future level of effort based on absolutely nothing, and even if your point has some merit, what are you actually suggesting we do? Sit him down for some sort of psychological analysis or make him pinky swear..or what? Obviosuly the bloke is in a position to command a huge pay packet and if we want to keep him we will have to match it - I just don't get why you are inventing some sort of concern about him not putting in after he signs, just a thing you made up to throw in the mix for some reason
  8. We better make sure he has a good sit-down with you before he signs then, and if you're not happy we'll tell him we don't want him
  9. What are you suggesting, just let someone else give him the money so they can deal with the distracted superstar?
  10. and about making the bloke in the other colour jumper experience pain. These are Viney's only interests.
  11. Part of me thinks (hopes) that if/when the time comes to get him to sign, the AFL might just be lurking secretly in the background to make sure he stays a dee.
  12. Just started watching the game vs the cats again, in the first 10 seconds Viney chases Selwood to a congested sitution and just bowls him over so he can't get the pill, then you see him just grab selwood's foot while he is on the ground and kinda pull it, purely to annoy him, then Viney somehow gets the ball and dishes it to Jones for an inside 50. Absolutely set the tone of the matchup and the game itself in the first passage of play!
  13. I reckon that's just a situation where people can't decide which one to give it to, so they have a bet each way Give it to Viney for 10 years, he was born for it
  14. It's the second of our goals Lands about 5 rows behind the fence No problems folks
  15. Opposition midfielders would see him running up to them before the bounce and be like 'oh no, please God, not this little bastard' and don't we love him for it
  16. I'm all for calling a spade a spade Its just horrendous how quickly the knives come out around here Maybe I am just more shattered by the fact that situation has been created in order for you backstabbers to come out so quickly Maybe it is the case that we as a club are completely and utterly incapable of taking the brightest talent and developing them History certainly shapes us that way
  17. What part if it is innacurate? Whip the knives out you snivelling losers, cos we lost a match and the next big thing didnt save us
  18. Here it is folks! Congratulations! After being lauded as the greatest thing in a generation to come to the MFC, 11 games in Jesse Hogan has offcially received 'whipping boy' status. Following the trend of Sylvia, McLean, Morton, Watts, Trengove, Scully, Toumpas and more, Hogan is now apparently worthy of becoming the punching bag for supporters upset after a loss. Well done lads! Can't wait to see who is next, must be Brayshaw, followed by Petracca.
  19. we beat GWS by 78 in r13, 2012 but if that doesnt count its dockers by 89 points, R13, 2011
  20. you missed one nasher
  21. the media? What about Demonland? Maybe 500 posts each commenting with their original thoughts that they reckon we should have had players behind the ball, and that our leaders are bad and we suck etc Meanwhile the biggest asset in the competition put on his first genuine display, Watts with one of his best games ever and a player we have been waiting 2.5 years for in the Toump finally arrived
  22. It was also cos Jonesy hit him on the chest
