  1. This is the most bizarre thing ever. I had completely forgotten about beating Collingwood last year. How the hell could I forget about beating that mob by 6 goals? Oivey. My memory. Is that one of the biggest winning margins we've had under Roos too? And old dope here still didn't remember it.
  2. It's sad irrespective of the work we've done as a club.
  3. Let's just go with misogynist. Come on, deeluded. Lift your game, mate. Crawl into the 21st Century with the rest of us. Or more pertinently, drag those knuckles into the modern world.
  4. Well, that makes two then, mate. The OP's pretty ordinary as well.
  5. Correct. Adam derped on that one. His brain his full after a long day. Please forgive him.
  6. Yeah, I don't think Gerard explained himself properly in that segment. I think they were all agreeing RE: it should be play on if a player tries to draw a free for ducking, but he just didn't communicate his point properly and so they ended up all arguing with each other, when they actually all agreed.
  7. Dunstall was less than complimentary last night on BOUNCE. I used to like Bunghole, but his disdain and disrespect (probably fairly granted) is these days obvious. On ON THE COUCH, it has a different tone and he's supposed to be more analytical, but I suspect his truer colours are on show with BOUNCE.
  8. Wasn't entirely sure where to put this, but did anyone just see Healy on On The Couch? There is something happening with Healy, who has traditionally shat all over us, but this season in particular, he seems to be showing a clear Melbourne bias. He's excited for us. Very strange, but welcome.
  9. That's an interesting comment, because I often find ANB to be quite one-paced. That's okay, but I just have never viewed him as quick. Even in the game down at the Cattery, he didn't show pace for me that day, just smarts and got in the right position and his opponent paid him little respect.
  10. I hope this really burns for Stretch and it drives him to be tougher at the contest, because if we're being serious, he was soft at the contest all day. I like his run and carry, but we can't carry soft outsiders in the future. You've gotta be tough in the contest otherwise you probably won't get much of a look in. His skills won't be strong enough to warrant him getting a game just for outside run.
  11. Without trying to be disrespectful, he leaves a massive hole in their back half and I wouldn't be surprised to see it have a big effect. His disposal, leadership and run and carry is vital to them. I hope he gets back, because he seems like he's a good bloke, but it's a pretty big blow to the Doggies and it makes the game against them in Round 8 a lot more winnable.
  12. A key trait of the very best players. Judd had it. Cripps has it. Ablett has it. Our very own Clayton Oliver... has it.
  13. Lumumba found himself on Waite a few times as well. It's this new zone defence we're playing. I'm not sold on it, but it didn't expose us horribly today.
  14. It's a tough one, I reckon. I'd be tempted to play the same team. These guys played the best football I've seen from a Melbourne side in a long time, but they didn't get the chocolates. I would say to them, we go again and make sure you get the points this week. However, I would consider one other important change and that's Garlett IN. Harmes and Kent certainly keep their spot, particularly given they were still included after last week and they actually impacted the game this week. I suspect Garlett might come in for Stretch or Matt Jones though. I'd probably go for a switch with Matt Jones, as Stretch is younger and is the future, despite Jones certainly improving this year. I'd be tempted to give Gus another week in the VFL and make him really earn the recall, but I suspect he'll be back in again next week. ANB could get a game in place of Bugg, as could Gus.
  15. His name is Clayton Oliver and he is all you need for positivity. Get around him.
  16. Yep, exactly. You haven't even mentioned who it is, but it can only be one player. What a beauty. He really is. Hats off to Jason Taylor and co. We've got a gem on our hands. Loved how pumped up he got when Jones goaled too.
  17. Couple of things. Firstly, where did I defend the loss? And secondly, where did I say it was good enough for me? Your views are black and white, mate. Maybe you should go and support Collingwood?
  18. Not quite. The ball was put lace out for him. A perfect kick, but two North players closed down the space, but the kick was too good for them. He looks timid again to me. Like he did previous years. It's certainly confidence linked, because in the GWS game he did seem to enjoy body contact for the first time.
  19. I love looking at the table and seeing Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond and Essendon below us. Brilliant.
  20. Because your criticism is not being constructive in the slightest. Offer us something of value, mate. Yes, today was frustrating. Yes, we should have won. But we didn't. Stop whinging and look to next month for redemption.
  21. I know you're being facetious, but let's be honest though. The rebound from the back 6 today was the best it's been in close to a decade. I'm not happy with the result, but we looked really impressive a number of times off half back. There was little indecision, we took the game on and started many a goal scoring opportunity from quick, decisive sling-shot footy. Col is going to struggle to get back in. I hope they stop this yo-yo rubbish with Frost. Just keep him in and play him down back. Omac may well come back in though.
  22. Our recruiting would clearly suggest we've targeted inside ball winners first and will add the outside polish in the coming 2-3 years. Viney and Oliver, with Brayshaw and Petracca are going to be tough to manage. Add Tyson and Salem in there and we have the makings of an A grade midfield. Someone like Prestia who can play inside or outside will be the perfect tonic to this midfield. We'll just need a Burgoyne type and we start to look really dangerous, dare I say formidable. I think Goodvibes said it earlier. It's going to happen with these younger guys, but it's going to be frustrating in the meantime for our already battered supporter base.
