  1. go back to sleep swyl.
  2. I think we know, we lack the poised skilled players with some speed, to put thru there. Hopefully Stretch will turn out to be one of them. If your aware of others we have, please let me know, as I don't know of them yet. Our backs are decent, when Hibbo is in, but Hibbo & Jetta are near on 29yrs, already... Only Fritta I think comes close to the call atmo, for the centreline.
  3. then don't read it swyl,,,, because most are saying that very same thing. If you don't like it, then stay off the thread because most are saying the same things,,,, depending on what side of the fence they're on. So, Off you go, back to asia, sun-lounges, and a drink.
  4. DZ, he was always playing as a mobile tall forward, in the juniors, that I recall anyway. From the early vision of him. He is a very good player, playing out of position. But TMc has the spot suited to Jesse.
  5. you miss the point altogether. again and again.
  6. That is my point, NC. I agree with what you say Re midfield. We have to be able to give something to get something. We are just not good enough thru midfield, Re delivering the ball, so we can use it. We can wait forever and a day for the less skilled players to learn to better their skills,,, but I don't think this is an option. We have to become hunters again and get on the chase. We will be battling against the Hawks, Blues, Bombers, and to a lesser extent the Pies for this type player, (oh, Roos as well). It will costas... we will need room in salary cap, and we will need picks most likely. What we do have are 2 players with value, that we can cover. What we don't have, is what we lack. Class with Poise, ball users.
  7. speed run and skills, Wts11 and HARD work...
  8. So its our midfield that's the Problem, NC?
  9. I would hope so MSF.
  10. We don't have the class running thru the midfield, to create quickly enough, for this to happen,,, at this point. this is what thee trade discussion is all about. __ getting those class running player's.... onto our list. Thats right. if you read my posts last night, you would have seen my answer to that. .... I give him one more season, to become more mature and Professional about his footy. before the heat comes onto his career. He's a kid who should enjoying his footy... but he's nowhere near fit enough, and should be working on his agility and speed.
  11. This, is about to Swing back again juzzkid1. One pick, and the deal does not get done... Simple, it has to be a top 10 pick + another. The open spaces are about to open up again, via rule changes,,, and tall deep forwards will be back in business. But Hogan is no deep forward. He's a step ladder, in that part of the ground.
  12. It depends not on GWS,,, but on the players themselves, IF they want to move to Melbourne ?
  13. They can all catch the high ball, Jaded. They all have good hands, and can kick straight. So as they rotate past deep forward they are genuine targets. Add Fritsch as well.
  14. Nibbler is a work in progress, and he's progressing a lot every season so far. Its not Nibblers fault, our position.
  15. He's not fully committed to the footy... won't put his body in a place that will be hit.
  16. Weideman, TMc, Petracca, Hannan, Gawn;,,, and others not seen by us yet, with the proceeds.
  17. He was playing high half-forward, midfield, and that had his enjoyment high, and confidence was up. He could run about and collect kicks at will. He is NO full forward.
  18. Yes, obvious call. I called for this last year. for him to play like Ryan O'Keefe did. and like jRiewoldt is now.
  19. He holds the ball, and his run-up,,,,, is for a LEFT Footer. Why hasn't anyone listened to my post years back,,,, and taught him to kick with the left boot ????
  20. This is because he's not a natural deep forward... and I'm sure he doesn't want to play out his time being a step ladder. Hogan is and always was a high forward, half-forward type. He does not have a launch button. So plays low on confidence, when as a deep forward.
  21. Hogan would have to shed Kilo's to do a Jack Riewoldt, and jack was already more nimble than Jesse is.
  22. Someone like a Lachie Neale. We need some like this for the 'G'. We have to trade for it, or draft it. but we need it.
  23. I could get a Goal ( iIIi )with an open forwardline and an open midfield putting the ball in my hip pocket.
  24. Yes i am. And I do have to read it. and I try to make it as plain to see, as I can. This is how I wish to portray myself, and my message. One doesn't have to watch tv shows, or look at art. It is what it is. And this is me. .
  25. Each AFL kid grows up for the first 18yrs of life taking in the stories of AFL footy through media, if that's their interest. Subconsciously they are aware of clubs struggles and triumphs.its well known the story of Melbourne being fragile under real heat/pressure. Once at Melbourne the players learn and grow together, but once in a position of playing for the big prizes, those early dominant memories surface with the pressure of the coming finals... whether negative ones, or positive ones, depending on which club it is. This effects the mental framework within the individual and collectively the team and the crowd. (ie: mental anticipation/expectation). These revert back to memories, in the search for ammunition to fire in the big games. Most of our memories are negative ones, as we tend to be down the bottom, much more often, than near the top. These negative images create fear in the minds of all, and its so difficult to think thru fear. To be rational enough under pressure to come out clean and winning. Add the conservatism bred into our DNA, and so we are too comfortable with loss (used to it) and with being fearful (under the surface) than we oughta be. >>> (over time, leads to defeatism. acceptance). "oh well, better luck next week". The more aggressive clubs handle they're fears much better, they will come our fighting, pumped up and intimidating. Taking it right on. We have to aim to be aggressive once again, that fire and brimstone spirit which 'Checker' brought to the club,,,,, that was snuffed out by those conservatives who got rid of Norm Smith,,, and we lost Barassi when at his fiercest. We have far too many fire-fighters around our support networks. ... Conservativeness/FEAR, is Our curse.
