Tyson helped the club steady the team, at the time of recruitment. And is still quite a good footballer today. Salem is really starting to burn.
  2. So here we ware again. What I want is to get class Mids onto OUR list. the easiest way we can. I think what you want in all this is just to be malicious. Let me put it this way... I like Jesse Hogan... and I am virtually the first on here to push for us to recruit him,,, in the very first place when he was a 17Yr old, or younger ! Now I was also the one pushing for us to recruit Weideman. I was also the main one pushing for us to play TMc as a CHF/Follower,,, when we got injuries to Gawn and Spencer. And now it is, I am pushing for us to recruit a topline classy experienced mid... but the key to doing this is,,, what have we got to use to satisfy another club. If we identify a player that suits these needs. So you see, what I want are classy mids, in RednBlue_ Not to trade out a player who I really like. The crux is, we have to give up something, to get something we really need. So I am trying to be creative. What is it you think you are trying to do? .
  3. No. What I want (and you cannot tell me what it is I want) is to get class midfielders and pace, into our list. The means of howe we do this, is what I believe your referring to... and I am open to other suggestions, as to how we can get these experienced topline Mids onto our list, this 2018, and next year.
  4. For your information I have been considering the possibilities of a Hogan trade, for at least 2 Yrs now. Its not that I really want to trade him, but sometimes the need outweighs the in-house value. Truth be known, Jesse is best out at CHF, playing that old David Schwartz role. He is not a deep F/Forward. On the other hand, 'Weide' will be very good deep forward. And with smalls players at his feet. Now, with these forwards, and Tmac as well.... who plays CHF just as well as Hogan;.... what else do we have as options, to get the class Mids into the lineup, which we need. So, there's some more facts, for you to chew on.
  5. He can take pack marks, swyl... but mostly, he needs a run and jump to do it. Playing one out deep isn't Jesse's best option. They double team him, and edge him under the ball. especially when we bomb it in. High ball marks aren't his strength.
  6. How do you know fairweather supporters,,, have a sudden urge after one (in your words, 'bad performance'). Are you assuming again DD?
  7. Tony Dalroy. ABC on wireless in Vietnam. Any chance you can get the radio call of the '64 GF over there,,, for us?
  8. hmmmn, didn't she.

Your right, he was to.. but he was trying to raise his level, he was taking them on. taking the game on. And he's succeeding.

I think Harmes has improved more than Gus's highs. Gus's first year was very good. He's just above that level he set, now. IMO, Harmes is streets ahead, of his former best.

Lets all hope, 'jimmy' Hannan can go to another level next season, as well. Because, he has 'more levels', in him.
  13. of course. Only if Jesse wants to, 'go west young man'. .
  14. DV8 replied to a post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe Vince could be picked up as a rookie; to help lead down at Casey. His onfield leadership could be very handy to or younger guys. Our young players have to continue to learn the feeling of winning,,,,,,, 'often'. Then, if needed, we could call on him?

Spot-On ptrcatck. The past couple of months, he has gone up another level, plus. In the same time-frame, 'de skipper' has gone off. Time for a change, Jones'y.

He looked bigger when going for contests today. I think this is his self belief growing. Un-confident players appear smaller than they are. Confidence, makes more than nostrils flare out. .
  19. DV8 replied to Pates's topic in Melbourne Demons
his kicking for goal is fine, just nerves today.
  20. DV8 replied to Pates's topic in Melbourne Demons
He kicked for goal nervously. uncharacteristically. shows his framework was hindered today by nerves. somewhat. He will loosen up nicely, I think, for next week. has to be in.

Yeah, in Parliament. Rl. Or heads of business. Maybe the heads of the Church? All the kings horses, and all the kings men ? Or could that possibly be, the collective minds of the common folk.?
  23. DV8 replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
    ... shiel do layzie !
  24. DV8 replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
thanks DJ. That's interesting. The players we don't get, that others do, pulls us back down. IMO, we ought be going after the best players out there first, and get it done. work out the details on the run. as NIKE says, "Just do it". The big clubs have done this for decades, and they stay up top.
