  1. Did anyone have trouble with getting MCC seats. I was in around 9.10 and couldnt get three tickets for level 2, tried level 1 not enough tickets. Ended up in Q nosebleed territory for the first time ever. Went back in and only seats left are in Q and walk up. MCC is going to be rocking Friday night.

ANB was doubled over off the ball and I want to know who punched him in the guts. Surely there will be camera vision somewhere of the sniper attack.

Just as the mark was taken you could see ANB in the background go down with a Brisbane player next to him. I couldn't make out who it was but it was off the ball and deserves a look.

  3. I am embarrassed and ashamed to say I walked out not knowing there were still 3 minutes to go but stopped to watch it on one of the TVs in the MCC entrance. It was amazing atmosphere with supporters yelling, groaning and yelling again. When Kozzie kicked the goal everyone was hugging and cheering and then rushing back to watch the game. When the siren went the orange MCC lady hugged me and we kind of looked at each other weirdly then laughed. The atmosphere in the MCC members was like it was when we beat Hawthorn and Geelong. What made me very happy was how delirious the players were when they were walking up the race. We might have fallen into the win but it showed guts and determination not to give up and the result will I am sure provide the impetus to work that little bit harder against Brisbane next week.

All I want for this game is no more obnoxious and pedantic opposition supporters in the corporate suites behind me. I had bad experiences in the Freo and Sydney games. Can't stand a loud mouth Pies supporter for the whole game!

Can't stand Pies supporters anywhere, anytime. Especially at the moment as they are even more arrogant than usual.

I've got my ticket. In MCC members, so hopefully we'll outnumber filth supporters.

Yep Level 2 (4 mad and very vocal Demon supporters) - No alcohol area - not many of the filth get up there for obvious reasons.

  6. I wonder with Mundy "retiring" if this adds $$$ to their offer for LJ. Can any of the WA posters confirm if he was on big money. I thought he played well last week and was a little surprised that he had announced his retirement. He might of been pushed into retirement.

  7. I think there was a comment made either by a player or Goody that when Jack was captain recently whilst Max was out, the atmosphere in the rooms was completely different. I'm not sure that the players can deal with his 110% style on a week on basis but having him as co-captain brings all the excellent qualities that Max has with a tempered tenacity that his co-captaincy brings.

As one other poster said he seems to be happier on the field - less scowling - maybe being a family man now has lightened the load.

At Gussy’s first touch tonight the Richter scale might just register six point something.
A richter for every year of his contract. 😃

There will be a mild earthquake over my way and next week when he runs out on our ground there should be another huge outpouring from the MFC supporters. We'll show Jacko what he will be missing.

  9. My logical self is telling me they are both gone otherwise how did they get Oliver's and Trac's contracts done without knowing what it was going to take to keep both Jackson and Gus. If they know that Jackson is gone they are either not going to pay overs to Gus as he seems to be asking for or he is gone as well. They are not going to announce prior to the finals that one or both players are off. Imagine we are playing Freo in a final. How would those players feel if they have left something on the table to retain one or both. I think justifiably "annoyed" and so where does it leave team cohesion. Of course do we boo or applaud. I will be muttering under my breath something about traitors and Sc...ly!

Now my illogical self tells me that they both love the Club and Maxy and have signed on but the Club is keeping it Mum to give us a huge boost just before the finals🤐😭

I'm delighted that our resident trade whisperer is on the case now. Finally someone who knows what they're talking about in this thread.

I look forward to well sourced, high quality updates from here on

I can't believe this topic has been relegated to the 2nd page.

Have we all given up any hope of retaining Dogga. There must be someone out there with some info.

Rose tinted unfortunately mate, when we beat Essendon last year half our cheersquad booed their players off, it was disgusting

But was that because of something that happened during the game rather than booing a player for an exceptional game.

  12. Too depressed to work so did some analysis of the "Bye" and the AFL's equitable game system (I've included the day of the next game of football)

    15 day break - GWS/Adelaide/GC/Bulldogs/Geeeeelong

    14 day break - Freo/Syd/Nth/WC

    13 day break - Saints/Rich/Coll/Hawthorn

    12 day break - Bris/Carlton/Ess

    11 day break - Port

    10 day break - MFC

Make of it what you will but we certainly have not been given any favours by the AFL (and dont get me started on our game at Geeeelong)

On AFL 360 last night Goodwin said Max was sore at training - I think he said it was a back issue but difficult to make out the audio.

Then Cox crashed him with this knee.

... who were the morons on the bench giving him cheek - from the tv vision they looked more like supporters than support staff!

Max was looking at their bench. Moron Club.

Hunt played forward a few years ago, and wasn't bad. He does at least compete, led pretty well and was an OK kick for goal. Perhaps worth another go there?

I think Chandler is a bust.

Tommo was a disaster on the wing and up forward.

Too many players are underdone ... Salem/Langdon/Hibberd/Petracca/Lever. (Hibbert came off after 5 minutes in Q1 and was gassed! He did well having regard to that.)

The second/third tier players have been found wanting when the A graders weren't dominating - ANB, Spargo, Sparrow, Harmes, Bowey.

Harmes ran off at one stage clutching his side/ribs.
