KB has been ruined for me by Pies fans. Even when it's our home game, it is an unpleasant experience.

I am going to miss this year's KB for the first time since I think I was in hospital on KB about 13 years ago. I just can't bring myself to go to an away game against the Pies after the horrific experience I had in last year's final.
My mental health and intelligence suffered enough after that ****eshow.

I spoke to an MCC official after that game and was told that they had many complaints regarding the behaviour of supporters from a certain Club and it wasn't us!

What I witnessed from a group of their supporters harassing a young family that had the misfortune of sitting in the row in front of the standing room area, the attending MCC "Security" attempting to intervene and the subsequent non action from the two policemen standing in the aisle watching the "kerfuffle" nearly erupt between the father and the lunatics behind, leaves me with the same feeling as you Jaded. I will go (if only to boo Maynard) but my contempt for Collingwood fans can get no more extreme than it is now.

I hope that the Security is strengthened for that game because I know of a lot of MFC supporters who are on the edge and will lose it. I am indeed saving for the cost of my bail but at least I know that WCW will bake me a cake whilst I'm in the lock up (if she's not there with me)😁

  2. I know there were other problems with our performance Thursday night but did they come about because of the number of games played in 12/13 days. It was telling that even at the Presidents Dinner before the game a comment was made to the Melbourne faithful by our President, that "two games in Adelaide with such a short turnaround should never happen again" (not verbatim) and the comment was surely aimed at Andrew Dillon who was sitting in front of her when she said it.

Maybe the toll on the players was greater than we all knew.

I am personally not concerned about this loss however Richmond will be coming after us and if we put in another putrid performance I will be😠

You'd have to know the gender and name in advance I guess.

Just nominate them as Baby Demon, the other stuff can come later, You will have your baby demon package ready when you get to the hospital in front of any other possibles. Demon for life!

That was a shocker. He was clearly trying to actually kick the ball forward and collect it, something he dies often - usually successfully.

The whole idea of umpires being directed by the AFL to favor a team is ridiculous.

But if you are the conspiratorial type, last night was smoking gun standard grist for the mill.

Big SA club, needing a win in front of a sold out home crowd at the start of the AFL's annual cash grab from the SA government.

And right from the get go - Kozzy getting his head taken off dead in front and no free - it was as if the free fix was in.

21 to 9 frees tells the story of the night

Can I just say that I'm loving the commitment and spirit that Jake Melksham has shown since his ACL. He could've proudly retired last year, but has the hunger for one last shot. His professionalism in rehab is showing the rest of the list that we must not take winning for granted, this is our time. He's going to be an asset in the back half of the season

He is one of the best "team" players at the Club. He is in super condition and ready to go as soon as the medical staff give the go ahead. It was great to see him in Adelaide with his family. A great innovation by the Club to have all the families together for Easter.

So who to believe? I think former Melbourne doctor Peter Brukner is advising against Lever and May coming back too soon while the Demons appear to be pushing for them to be back playing asap. These are two major of the club’s major assets and we have two games in five days. Caution is warranted.

In his presser today, Simon wasn't looking to play Maysie too soon.

I actually will do it! Beats the hell out of the names my son wants to give them: ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ because a friend said they look like a pair of slippers 🙄

I could say something about your son's friends!!!!!!!!!!!

What about Huey and Dewey but you will have to have a Louie as well.😊

Jack was a guest on the ABC Kat & Matt show a few Saturdays back.  Kat is apparently good friends with Jack’s sister.  Jack gave the club a wack.  Spoke of having his love for the game drained from him during his time at the dees.  Said the same happened to Jeremy Howe, and how much happier Jeremy was after joining the pies (2021 says hello!).  Mentioned he was not the Jack Viney or Maxy Gawn the coaches wanted him to be.  Felt he was accepted for who he was at Port.  I switched between felling embarrassed and angry at the club, to also being peed off at Jack for bringing it all up again and not mentioning his role in his career outcome.    Sad all round really.

Me thinks there has been a little historical manipulation by our/Ports Jack. He is never going to admit his part in his leaving both MFC and PAFC.

same. pies supporters tried to argue they weren't chanting and jeering when Brayshaw went down but they definitely were.

They were from where I was sitting. For what little good it will do in the future, I was told the MCC had many complaints about the behaviour of the Collingwood fans during the game. How do you control 50,000 something morons.

Considering they have about 30k more supporters then ours then Roffey is completely out of her depths with reality. Of course Collingwood supporters would be loud.

Her comments are a kick in the guts for demon army and loyal supporters who are there weekly cheering all the time.

Her comments were not aimed at the Demon Army or those supporters who are already loud. Ask WCW but there are  many Melbourne supporters who just do not go bonkers like some of us. Remember the days when the joke was that Melbourne supporters would say "Go No. 4" with as much enthusiasm as a wet blanket. They are still around, politely applauding. We just have more of them than Collingwood. Which is in itself a wondrous thing as I don't think a Colliingwood supporter equates to anything polite. The Club just wants all of us to be loud. Speak to any of the players and they will specifically remember the games when the noise was so loud. It really does lift them.

I think we should be all mindful of our "loudness" on Sunday.

It’s true though and it’s up to the fans to get louder.

But it's a bit hard when there are so many more of them than us.

I'll never forget the games against Geelong and Hawthorn a couple of years ago. The noise was unbelievable.

When Kate made the comments at the Season Launch there was an audible gasp until we all knew what she was actually getting at. At one nanno second I thought I had to lose my teeth and give up my day job.🤣

Thank you, DZ. But because they live in Poland I’ll not be able to hold the little bundle of joy probs until mid next year when they visit Aus. All good though, meantime I’ll be spoiling and fawning from afar. 😅

My son and his partner aren’t into footy at all. But of course they know how much I adore our beloved Dees. Last night I told them I’m gonna buy MFC and DA membership for the yet-to-be-born little one. My son’s reply…

I’d be very surprised if (at his age) they aren’t aiming for a 9 month post-surgery return to play. That would make him available end of May/early June, if it’s been smooth rehab, which by all reports it has. Round 11-ish.

Might be earlier than round 11.

Very misleading by the Club. When they say “free” they’re referring to the practice match at Casey as well as two open training sessions during the April and July school holidays.

All community games are on Foxtel as well as Kayo.

Hopefully the Club will have a BBQ with the Demon Army on the 2 March, the last Saturday training before Round O!
