Melbourne have a very good core group of players in the centre; Davey, Trengove, Scully, J-Mac, Beamer with Jamar as the main ruckmen. The defence is building nicely but the forward line is sometimes a weaknessess. With the right delevopment Jack Watts will be a star. Miller is too inconsistent but when he is in form, he can play a vital role at centre half forward. Jurrah, Wonna and Jetta are excitement machines and can provide good tackling pressure. You guys probably need another ruckmen to help Jamar and another key forward. Jizzberts is another young talent. The future is bright, maybe next year you guys will be playing finals. Grimes is a ripper also. North Melbourne picked up some good youngsters in the recent draft in the likes of Bastanac, Ziebell, Cunnington and McMillan. Our defence is buliding nicely with the likes of Narni Grima, Thompson, Firrito, Rawlings etc. Our midfield group is very well placed for the future with Cunnington, Swallow, Bastanac, Garlett, Campbell, Zebs etc. Harvey could go on for another 2 years and if Wells can become consistent finally he can become a match winner. We have a good young emerging ruckmen in Goldy coming through and McIntosh in form is one the best ruckmen in the competition. Hansen up forward is proving a hit. We also have Warren and the likes of Thomas and Wright who are starting to find form. We just need another key position forward very similar to Melbourne. At this moment I would say Melbourne's list is better than North. North's list is not far behind. Richmond have a good crop of youngsters but it will be atleast three years until they will be making finals in my opinion.

I also wrote a Jamar one, just posted it up on the main board. @ Jnr Mac - You can't deny Jack Riewoldt this season, he has been the biggest improver. Edwards suprises most people, last year he was not a certain selection and was up and down. This year he has been consistent and leads the in smothers and his attack has been good. Chip Frawley was very unlucky to miss. The game were he towelled up Brown was superb. With these sort of things, you can't always fit everyone in. @Juicebox. A few people who follow the VFL knew about the J-Pod before this season but most of the footballing public didnt. If I told you a 28 year old could come into the AFL from the VFL and who had been rejected by two clubs before hand and make a Geelong team even better, you would have thought I was on the [censored]. Melbourne have improved this year and should have defeated Collingwood twice and the dogs and should be in the eight at the moment. @Deeloldfart. Jamar has been more of a suprise to the footballing public than Chip Frawley. Most people knew Frawley was a talent and it was just time when he would delevop into a gun player. @eth38. good to see you here mate. Should have told me about this thread earlier @Godemons. Do you contribute to The Big Tip? In a week or too, I'll try and muster up my own All Australian team and see how I go. Chip Frawley will be up there. @Stinga. Nice avatar. @Dee Nutz. Everyone thought Carlton were stuffed when Fev left but apart from the last couple of weeks O'Hailpin has been more than servicable. Edwards is another suprise packet. Players like Mumford, Kennedy, Varcoe etc could have got a place but were unlucky. With these sorts of things, its hard to judge overall and get it all right. Just something I wrote on Melbourne ruckmen Mark Jamar. Very much improved and a key in Melbourne's future. His tapwork with Beamer Moloney has been exquisite. Thoughts on the article and Jamar's season so far? Haven't been on the site for a while but the revamp and banner looks sensational. I am not a dees man but they are my second team and I try and go to as many Melbourne matches as I can when my team North Melbourne is not playing. Good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully Jurrah comes back and Melbourne and North are fighting for top spots in the years to come. Cheers.

Cheers 45togod. Its good to be here. I mostly use The Animal Enclosure forum but I will check this site out frequently in the footy season and occasionally in the off season. Is Supermercdo on here? I just been introduced to his blog by Morton2Watts and its a great read and I got alot of laughs from it.

He got it and then failed by getting out for 6. He is an exciting prospect though.

Hey TheGrimReaper & morton2watts got me here. I am a North fan but have a great interest in the demons. I manage to get to atleast 4 or 5 Demon games a year with my father who is a 30th Melbourne tragic. I love watching Austin Wonaeamirri and Aaron Davey play. They excite the crowd with there pace and thrill. I came here since Melbourne BF Board only bags the club and its not really active. Its great to be here. Hope to catch you around. Cheers Joe
