  1. I deliberately avoided posting last night.
  2. One positive is that it happened on a Thursday night so it didn't ruin my weekend.
  3. This club reminds me a bit of that family member. They're drunk again, abusive, yet you somehow still love them and feel obliged to tough it out on the hope that eventually they will turn around. Right now I feel I'm supporting the club out of obligation and hope; I'll still be here tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day, but I'm not enjoying the ride very much right now.
  4. Have I entered the Twilight zone or something? You're the one who named all the players that use Twitter, and I'm the tragic whatever? With the exception of Jones whose use is well documented, I had no idea which players used Twitter until your highly informative, well considered post. I'd just like you to remind you again that you're the one who seems to know all about it as per your OP. I hope others found your response as amusing as I did
  5. 12 minutes to go but I doubt anything will happen to change my votes: 6. Garland 5. Watts 4. Jamar 3. Jones _____ Encouragement votes ______ 2. Trengove 1. Bail Dishonorable mention to Moloney for being poo when it mattered and winning a ton of it after the game was over at quarter time, and Sylvia, Green and Davey for being poo the whole time. Jamar excluded, our senior players are responsible for my receding hairline.
  6. For someone who finds Twitter "terribly self indulgent" and "narcicistic" [sic], you sure seem to know a lot about which MFC players use it. Also, if you think we're losing because Jonesy tweets, then you're barking waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy up the wrong tree.
  7. I'm pretty sure he meant the second one
  8. I burst out laughing when that happened.
  9. I thought Morton had been okay so far, though I stopped watching closely about 15 minutes ago. Surprised by the criticism.
  10. That's exactly how I feel also.
  11. I was thinking that it feels like he's been around forever, then when I checked it out, it would seem that he has - this is year number 9 10 on the list. Only Green has been on the list longer. It's got to have been the slowest buildup of all time but it's definitely been worth the wait. Well done Russian.
  12. Do you actually want answers to these questions, or are you just having a whinge? Also, the contents of your post seem to have nothing at all to do with the thread title. Odd...
  13. Usual time this evening.
  14. I think the exciting thing about these two is that they're both clearly talented individually, but they work so well together. Watching the partnership between them grow is an absolute pleasure, it's one of the things that makes me look forward to the footy every weekend even when the team as a whole is struggling. Thanks for the report.
  15. This topic's race has been run.
  16. It's definitely part of Demonland culture.
  17. Exactly. The bye is a necessary annoyance while the league is in transition. Not worth bothering to think about beyond that.
  18. I used to always tip Melbourne as I didn't want any incentive to want us to lose, even if it was the most minor of minor reasons. Then it became necessary for us to lose for a period of time and my reasoning for not tipping against us went from seeming important to seeming trivial and silly. I now always tip who I think will win. It doesn't affect the outcome and tipping against the team doesn't impact on my desire for it to play its best footy and win the match. And if I can benefit from the side losing in the form of winning the tipping, then great.
  19. I read comments like this and have to look at who posted it to know whether they're facetious or serious. Thankfully on this occasion I concluded facetious. On QB - the results last year might as well have been 20 years ago for all their relevance now. Collingwood are not in our league and it will take a Herculean effort on our part - and a poor one on theirs for us to be in this match. I expect we're going to get a lesson in this match this year.
  20. No posts of yours have been deleted by mods. I assume you're not talking about post #61 in this thread?
  21. If we're on the intended track then I highly doubt the coach will go.
  22. plg, WYL. Pee-ell-gee. Best misunderstanding ever
  23. From how I read it, Hannabal's premise seems to be the opposite - how could you have decided you were not going to employ him without having a conversation with him first?
  24. Three quarters of the people who posted on the site after the match.
  25. It's also a timely reminder to those who managed to find something to whine about after a 90 point victory. As was I. Very pleasing for them. "Poort", bwahaha.
