  1. Lets put it succinctly. He f#%&ed up big time. Had obviously disobeyed a previous directive and was justly lambasted for it. Its not just Cale who but the whole team that suffers for such acts and he needs to have that rammed down his throat . Same for any other player. If he cant follw instructions find those that can.
  2. As i humbly understand Neelds thinking he is an advocate of getting the ball in deep and putting the forwards to work. That was the coorect option for Calendar but he just kind ked dumbly ibto enough space for an EASY collingwood mark tbat went coast to oast. F,n brilliant
  3. jaded , you know what this says to me. Thsi guy cant play footballat the elite level. He needs someone to tie his showe laces and tell him when to fart. Good players KNOW what to do. and when to do it. They will, in the main , attempt to work within the instruction of the coac9s) but they also realise the game is so fluid , so unique , that its actually impossible to instruct a player how to do everything because so much is reactive to the situation at hand. This is why youget soe guys that shine at traiining and match practice because its all a forgone conclusion as to how its supposed to pan out. Thats the nature of a drill. its known. Come matchday unfortuantely the opposition isnt so kind as toplay our game , they are buggers and want to play theirs, whod da thiunk !! Morton has NO real game smarts. he has some silky skills and ability but thats not the context of our game.he conssitently gets caught out, or siimply caught. Sometimes hes made to look better than he possibly is because ANOTHER of our players had read the situation and comes to his rescue.. Most of his turnovers occur at moments when he is simply lost for a decision, actually not true, hes lost for a progressive play. he makes decisions, many bad. Lets , please , stop confusing skills with the ability to play football ( well, and at the elite level).

Whether players are traded or moved on or move on they can still choose to remember their time at the MFC will fondness and pride.. This is all a part of the club building its brand and rediscovering its heritage as we go on to write new pages in its history. I dont mind it as an idea, interesting to see how all others and players view it.
  10. The control of the tail has returned to the dog. Get used to it lads.
  11. Do you know this , or merely casting your own aspersions ?? Im somewhat surprised youd even think he hasnt spoken to the players as this was his stated intention as soon as they returned after their break. Whats being reported has transpired since these briefs ( player's) There will be rude awakenings ( npi ) for more than a handful of players, even some of the more gifted and dedicatd ones. The bar is simply a lot higher now.. Its up to the players to respond.
  12. Billy... grow up Neeld is on record for saying exactly that HE wont accept what people say only what they do.. Now try getting that through your skull , huh. Dont utter things without checking reality it only serves to highlight your predisposition to attack people.
  13. If were talking Jurrah then he will have to work on his 'consistent' efforts in regard defensive pressure. He knows how to do it all but in all honesty he doesn't give it for 100 mins.. But hes far from alone. most of the team doesnt and thats the essential element Neeld will address. Players will need to play at 100% for 100% of the game or give it their very very best impersonation of such. Neeld wont accept players professing to give their all, he will only accept them doing it. One simple rule for all.
  14. Im sure everyone will be instructed as to whats expected of the team , and of them as individuals. Roles will be described and criteria of acceptance explained. At the moment all players are at the exact same point of their new Melbourne experience. I.e No one has played a game under Neeld yet. Players now all ...ALL, have to earn their spots. They will have to work just as hard if not harder to keep them as efforts and outcomes are better understood. Liam, just to suggest one, will not be exempt. No one will. A new day has dawned and some will see the sun and smile at the chance, others will wilt in the heat. Its about a team , not individuals.....that era is over
  15. The essential I take out of much of what Neeld is saying /doing is simply this. He doesnt really care much about what was happening at MElbourne before he got there hes only focused on what WILL happen now he IS there. As rpfc suggests it will be others who wil clamber to make or invent comparisons for whatever motives drive them.
  16. New Coaching motto : Go ahead, make my day !!
  17. Neelds Blank Canvas yet more insights !! marvellous stuff
  18. Hmm.. I wonder how the players all "feel " about this ?? then again...its time to stop feeling... and DO !!
  19. We are Billy...we;re in the AFL ...by default were playing with them....what we werent doing is playing like them.
  20. We're playing with the big boys now lads !!! time to act like it.
  21. This is all about the reinforcement of the idea that a dog wags the tail.. Neeld>>> Woof !!! The lads are being instructed as to where the bar now sits. Brave new World !!! lol Good to see. Am sure many will rise to the challenge. Those that dont wont be around for long.
  22. Demons are supposed to reside in Hell.......and now they do !!
  23. or make or break a whole team
