It often amuses me that so much speculation is givng to this bloke or that blokes ability to coach based as much as it is often on the basis of a playing career. Coaching is ALL about an understanding of the craft and the ability to communicate and teach it. They dont have to play, they have to be able to Coach, to facilitate, to empower. Some very good player cant coach for sh!t..some can...and vice versa....and possibly all grades in between. Im prepared to trust the club in its desire and ability to build a top notch footy dept full of able coaches. Sure, not a kick in anger yet but theres certainly a methodology and purpose in their efforts thus far. I for one am very interested to see how al lthis rubs off and effects our list.

Im just wondering how much Neeld may already know of this list. Malthouse was onrecord as saying this was the list he would have been interested in, had things been different. So Mick obviously had done some homework and it would be reasonable to assume he 'might' have passed on or indeed discussed in some manner this info with Neeld. Given the now famouse "gaps " on the board Im inclined to think Neeld had a fair idea of who hes inclined to move on, who to keep...and who might need a closer look.
