  1. How does that stop you from either wanting him there or not ? Are you not in effect saying he needs time to prove something ? You think that will/would or could happen in the short time left thi sseason.Almost by default yours is a vote for keeping. What changes, weve a whole new FD ffs. Things take time.
  2. care to take a poll on that too ?? might be surprised as to who's rubbish people are fed up with
  3. Brock Mclean, youre dead to Melbourne Sheahan, quite frankly youre a disgrace of a person fumbling at the mere morsel of a story in your so called retirement. As a once accountable and respected journalist you should be checking your balance before opening your mouth Roos. Used to respect you. Now youre just some agenda driven media [censored]. Absolutely no persepctive to any of this, just someone's witch-hunt.
  4. Happy to allow Neeld his full three years to not only instigate change, but affect it.
  5. and you could have just as easily started a poll yourself... butyou didnt. So wear it
  6. I'm sure he loses sleep about this
  7. If you cant see that things are different then there's simply no way of informing you in any amount of words or fashion that you will accept.Players are not selected in the same fashion, nor are they necessarily played in the same positions. Some of this is simple necessity as injuries have caused shortages in some areas of the ground. In other instances players are being tested. This in itself is a difference. Players are beiig made to run the gamut of accountability. They are being told to be defensive where as under prior charge they were left to run amock. problem being that some of these guys were never picked/drafted for these abilities. Im actually not sure what or why some were indeed picked ; that a benefit of hindsight as none too many questioned some of the selections at the time. Some of the acceptance was the assumption that all in charge knew what they were doing. I think history casts a pall upon such notions. The list the current FD are having to wrestle with are predomianntly not of their making, but they are damned by their ( players ) performances when put to the test. Interesting that many are happy to excuse the tested but not the testers. Its only by such scrutiny that decision can be made about who is cut of the right stuff ( according to the pattern as determined by the new FD , not the old ) . The desired and acceptable levels of fitness are obviously a point of difference from the FD of now as compared the 'then'.. The 'ownership' of defence is now fairly upon all, not just the back players. There are glaring differences between regimes, but ht elist remains essentially the same some names that in the main havent took to the grass yet. A couple of exceptions have had impact, just not for a long enough time. This is a three act play and already some of the audience want to make the call on whos guilty. The whole purpose of 3 acts is theres a bigger story to unfold and tell. Its a bit obvious to some and totally invisible to others.
  8. Got a suit of armour or an invisibility cloak handy ? lol
  9. It wasn't the tanking that stuffed us. It was what we did with the ill gotten goods , or rather it was who did what with said goods.
  10. Just too much common sense in those words. Please desist.
  11. No No No Old.. The list is fabulous, we ought to be contesting finals this year
  12. Some strange agendas in play.
  13. The AFL cant initiate an investigation as it would only serve to condemn cultures of its own creation.
  14. And some would have this turncoat and revisionist back at the club...honestly.
  15. Yes we have. Tanking doesnt exist...ask Vlad. Its irrelevent. The powers that be have changed the system to 'overcome' such indescretions. The medling media want to run with it like a dog with a bone. The administration that runs the game is simply over it.
  16. theres good and bad everywhere..lol
  17. Neeld is himself only the face of a football dept and the Board that arranged them. He carries the bucket,of things good and bad. I have faith in Neeld , as a representative of the change thats occured at the MFC. The change not only embodies the personnel it is representative of a shift in methodology as well as assessment and accountability. For far too many years talk from the club was in generalisations and non specific rhetoric. i.e We have a vision , we have great people...and such. It's what the members wanted to hear but it wasnt backed up with any structure or resources. The current setup; FD and associated staff now have a much better and more specific outline of who and what they are and where they are supposed to get to. Mor eimportanlty they are now being given the tools and people to make this happen. It wont happen overninght. Nothing does. It wont happen in a year. it would be foolhardy and ignorant to presume it could. I am mostly impressed by the actuality of the club conceding that a lot that has gone before was simply wrong and that it had to change.. We can see the foundations of change in place. I am prepared to wait a reeasonable time to see something built out of all this. If we are treading water in 2 seasons time then it wil have come to nought. It's not 2 years hence, it's now. Not enough of a process has transpired to make a categorical call . Until it is. Im prepared to beleive the current FD and such are on the right path.
  18. Oh do inform us all.. How has the assessment changed? Who's assessment by the way ?
  19. Some dont want to consider, let alone concede such factors. Might lead to a balaced judgement.
  20. I just think its incredibly funny that anyone can draw the categorical concluson that Neeld is a dead duck coach after one year in charge of a list comprising maybe a dozen fair dinkum .players, half a dozen wannabes and the rest either too wet behind the ears or too wet between them. If he had a reasonable list , that had a decent spread of talent and Ok fitness as a commonality and we were getting done week in week out then I too would be concerned. Lets make this simple for some to understand, this is the first year of a three year process. The FIRST yeqr. Its clearout year.
  21. Is anyone actually diputing his form is less than desired ? He's been a bit better of late,to this humble, observer , but he seems constricted.
  22. I agree with pretty much all of that. However we , as a team are caught a little between rock and hard place. We dont have an abundance of choice come the selection table. Id agree in merit the idea of Trenners finiding some form in the magoos but we stil probably need him more in the 1sts. I do agree he should go down,. In reality he ought not be alone , but thered be no-one left. Were just too ravaged by injuires.
  23. in all fairness though, Bailey was NEVER meant to win much those first two season as we were t........... trying to list manage. It was the second pair of years where we realised that not only was the cupboard far more bare than any had reasonably suspected but that the FD ( coach included ) really didnt have much of a clue..In Clarkson's case He had something to work with, but it had been done all wrong. It took time to unravel the harm and build the new. Now look what they have !!! There is no reason we cant be the same. I wonder how many who called for Clarkos head now would carry him shoulder high ? I wonder how many here will respectfully admit they were just a tad wrong in a few years time ? If we are going nowhere ...I'll be the first. I somehow think we'll be well on the road by then
  24. I think its a bit blurred You do actually realise our ties are actuallystrong. We are PART of the MCC once again ? Cant get much stronger than that. There simply isnt room to facilitate all of what an AFL club requires to have at the G for the MFC. part of the reason we moved out was to have FULL facilities. The actual pitch will never be allocated to an individual team ever again. Get over it. We have a constituion and its falls under the MCC Charter also. Your really have no idea do you What will do that, boost morale, membership and sponsorships ( though not too shabby currently ) is success on the field. That comes from building a winning team from the ground up. We are currently doing this. Just not in a way youd comprehend. You obviously think the list is fine. Hard to know what your first mistake is really. Hows that 'ticket' of yours going.
