  1. And this is what really intrigues me as to who is in the crosshairs currently for recruitment. That was all done on the run, this time round we have a different FD with different views and having had a good year to prepare. it bodes well ( for mine )
  2. pretty funny.... or is that insensitive
  3. No ones ignoring facts HSOG. Facts are facts. Interpretations however are a different animal. These interpretations lead to opinions. Somehow that seems to work in reverse for some.
  4. Strangely enough im going to Everest next year.... Ill have a look and see what playets are making progress lol
  5. Its easier to give 4qtrs of effort playing tiddlywink footy than when playing accountable.
  6. Its all purely coincendental I suppose , that we have had too many younger bodies out there undersized over the recent years ? Its been the oft comparison of similarly drafted players at others clubs that sparked much of this debate in the first place. Yep...nothing here
  7. You have to think this has all been fleshed out for some time now. This is all just rubber stamping
  8. thatd be fine by me
  9. HSOG.. Im not sure ( nor care really ) who you actually are. I dont know what CS has done either personally or otherwise to p!ss you off, but your personal agenda to seemingly rewrite history in your own vision as well as fanatical attempts to repaint what can oly be described in the main as a very successful tenure by or CEO has I think run its course here. Maybe you should run for the board as you seem quite passionate in your views. Care to test them in the real world If there is genuine reason to challenge the current regime you are free to do so. You have here. I think its reasonable to say you have not swayed the majority here. But we are merely a forum. The ultimate one is public opinion, and the epitome of that in the context of this club is its membership. So far they seem in agreement with McLardy. You are welcome to change that.
  10. Im affraid what youre not quite grasping is that under Bailey weplayed a poor type of football quite well ( at times ) this gave us the equivalent of false positives as outcomes. We had reached our known Zenith...and eventally also found our Nadir !! Under Neeld we are attempting to play a much better brand of football but arent able to do it very well to date resulting in the losses we have witnessed. The paths taken are diametrcally opposite. One will eventually lead to sustained success where as the other was a recipe for prolonged mediocrity verging on delusion.
  11. In some fairness to all ... I think much of what was wrong with Greens leadership (or lack thereof ) was simply an indication of the total lack of understanding by the then regime as to what it actually meant and involved. We were a club adrift
  12. I think this also explainsthe rude shock a couple of others ave had when Neeld came on board. Neeld sa he would watch and judge upon what he saw and not what was history ( or reputation ) Intesrestingly enough he then totally recast tehe leadersip group. Is it also to be drawn that this has shown up some supposed champs for hatthey are ..i.e Not quie as clevr as their self written tickets might suggest ? I wish Green well and a successful future. He'll always be welome at the club Im sure but a panned out hi leadership didt really amount to much. Mind you hes not alne and I think this goes to the ideal of the FD to run a broom through the club.
  13. Dare I say it... Just hoping for a ful recovery. We need this bloke, not just becuase we ween a bloody good forward ( we do ) but he brings a vigour and passion to his role that many could emulate. Its his level of commitment and professionalism which we need to replicate through the team. You can understand why we went hard to get him.
  14. It does beg a question doesnt it.How do you really expect people to view you ( as a player or person ) when its at the end of your career you come out with your concerns. You can now see that a lot of players at Melbourne were simply not on the same page. Thankgod that the culture that was is being erradicated and replaced with one that values hard work and commitment to the cause.
  15. That only goes to the amount of weight training youd do in AFL compared to League, not how you went about it
  16. Rumours can be just rumours Occasionally its when the truth sneaks out but is hard to believe. Something like this would need to be squashed or outed properly. that it is in some way alluded to in Jimmas book and nudge-nudge-wink-wink by Green makes it a bit more than pub talk
  17. Something can easily be done about the gym sesssions... Someone 'mentors' them This isnt rocket science
  18. To be honest I'm all but lost for words. How could this have been so ?! Any wonder theres been the need for such a steep learning and re-education curve. Im dumbfounded
  19. What can I say Weld=Hot !! B)
  20. Old...i dont want to beleive them, I find it incredulous to the max thaty they could be remotely based on anything that has foundation.Incomprehensible
  21. Under Bailey they were a Cullen, Under Neeld they are a Culling !!!
