Theres so many of lifes lessons all wrapped up in this . I empathise. Kids love heroes, they yearn the unbeleivable , its a kids way.Let him grieve, then take him to the clubs family day . Let him immerse himself in those that ARE the club. get him fornt and centre with the likes of Grimes, Trenners..Clark..Jones. Buy him a new jumper. He'll survive... we all do

I can only presume ( read fervently hope ) that the reason the Club hasnt uttered a word is because they are keeping their powder dry at present. There something very very wrong about all this. I can sense the club is seething. Im so tempted to utter some words but ill take the cue of the club and remain quietly unamused.

Im still getting my head around all this but he cant just up and walk.....and go to another AFL club without a deal done with us...We can veto the whole thing.Or he leaves the AFL for a year and then nominates for the draft We ( the club ) need to acknowledge the uniqueness of the situation and really only so because its different whether we like it or not. AT hte same time its now bordering on a crock and that also needs acknowledging if only interanlly. The club needs to get on the front foot and say well...fair's fair.

Quite simply.....and call me a bastard if you will but the clubs focus now ought to be on fair and conmensurate compensation, if...and this is the kicker, IF Liams goes or attempts to link up with any AFL club. Quite frankly if the club doesnt then its lame.

re DaveyMaybe theres more validity in the off the cuff lambasting that you ridicule so quickly. Davey does have a role as mentor of his 'brothers" Liam was one of the charges under his wing. So maybe there is a question to ask , how much might have Aaron known about Liam's inclination to go walkabout? If he knew anything did he pass it on to the club ? Whats wrong with asking these ?
