great game of football. i love watching both of these sides play.
-
scarily true. the board has to go. their position is untenable.

the fact that the football department didn't know what the doctor was doing is a major concern. the issue of whether or not dank met anyone else other than the doctor is a question that must be answered what contact did he have with the players? communication through all levels of the club is unfathomable that it could be so...non-existent. the whole place needs gutting. through this we must hope for rebirth. ultimately, we are the club who invented the game. does the afl have a duty to protect us (from ourselves)?
-
one positive - even caro reckons that all of this coming out and (hopefully) meaning a clear-out of the board, admin, footy dept. etc., will see us refreshed anew. that's my sole hope.

how good is this first term!

Jason Taylor in a fight on AIS Europe tour?
whatwhat say what replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Melbourne Demons
If our much ballyhooed new recruiter was really in a fight with the brother of one of the best 25 kids in the country as they travel around Europe together I personally think its kinda a big deal. -
What will the next scandal/rumor be?
whatwhat say what replied to Courtney_Fish's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jason Taylor is the actual real latest scandal. Unbelievable. -
Just reported on 3aw. It just NEVER ENDS.

Bombers are being investigated by ACC and we are not is my only guess.

It's entirely possible. The thing Vlad hates the most is being lied to and made to look a fool. The AFL is going to be baying for blood.

the response by the club is fine, however it's not the drugs (supplements, vitamins, whatever) that's at the crux of the issue here - it's the blatant LYING of the club in regards to dank's involvement with the club! if the dees' admin can't understand that they've mislead their members, fans, the general public and perhaps most importantly the afl investigative staff then they're even more moronic than would seem possible. we're absolutely going to be cooked over this. it could well end up with the afl running the club - god knows we need someone who knows what the blazes they're doing as it's quite clear that our board, admin and football department have no idea whatsoever.

i believe we've reached the final circle - ice.

peter jackson's job just got a whole lot easier - sack em all!
-
we're absolutely STUFFED.
-
it's not the taking potentially illegal supplements, it's the LYING about the contact with dank.
-
interesting, horrifying, and potentially correct assessment.

bloody melbourne.

Loved this line from Big Footy: He was a smokey for the job, but he suits us, though he'll need to be a wizard to fix our club.
-
he looks a lot like hawkins to me. surely we can't stuff this kid up. surely.

Last year he had Bartram, Rivers, Grimes all down there with him at times. This year he's got Gillies, Pedersen / Sellar at stages, and a two game player in Terlich, not to mention Watts and Dunn who've had half a season playing in the back line. There has been no consistency to our structures for the past several years and undoubtedly that has not helped the development of anyone in the side. Imagine Chip with Gibson, Guerra, Hodge around him. He'd thrive.

In terms of free agents, it has to be Thomas for mine. Throw the chequebook at him - if Sylvia and Davey both go we should have a heap of space in the cap. If Ellis was showing any signs of ever being fit, I'd like him too, but the guy just misses far too many games.

The likelihood is that we are going to have a very, very high pick - or two, if the afl are generous and actually feel like supporting us - in 2013. We need midfielders to get the ball down there, as yes, a tall trio like Clark, Dawes and Hogan does (on paper) seem very threatening. We should be looking at Kelly, Billings, etc ahead of Boyd, who will be a star but we have so many tall forwards he may be surplus to our requirements. Free agency may also be a factor - if Sylvia wants out and we can somehow convince Thomas to come in ($$$$) - as well as possible want-aways like Watts and Frawley. Midfielders can be found but he likes of Hogan are a rarity.
