There's talent on the rise at featherweight, but it'll be a while til they are at Aldo's level. Excellent, thanks for this, will get right on to it. There's a crime documentary called Dear Zachary. I strongly recommend everyone to see it. Without giving too much away, it's about a young doctor that was shot and killed. Loved by everyone, and his best friend decides to film everyone's tributes to him. What happens from there is just unbelievable. I couldn't believe what I was watching. Also Paradise Lost 1 & 2: The West Memphis Three. A look at crime in inbred America and how justice works... or fails. It plays like a movie with the nutters that are in this, and they're not even the accused.

Lesnar retired so he definitely is no longer a contender. He looked so timid as soon as he got hit, it was clear then it was pretty much the beginning of the end. Overeem had no regard for what Lesnar had to offer, even after the first jab cut him. He's a frightening unit the 'Reem, his kicks will trouble JDS, but at the same time he better kick hard because JDS will counter punch the kicks. Cerrone v Diaz was crazy. Agree completely that Diaz got in Cerrone's head, Donald came out and almost did a Homminick with that sloppy haymaker. Then he looked knackered and Diaz looked like he was working the speed bag on Cowboys head. Has to be a record for strikes landed? My god Nate looked exactly like Nick in there. Total d'bags those brothers, but man they put on good fights. I had Hendricks by KO in a multibet (the 2nd part was Nate by sub, odds were ridiculous), just as the fight started I said to all my mates "one punch knock out"... and surely enough! Total arse I'll admit, but it was pretty funny. And thank god, after the first 6 3 rounders, I was not in a mood for a Fitch fight. 140 Well it seems as though no one is going to beat Jones, LHW division is not what it used to be. Lyoto is the only real threat, maybe if we could transplant Dan Henderson's power into Lyoto I could see the smugness knocked off his face. Good on him though, he is a fighter, to overcome a Machida in that sort of form is very impressive. Did anyone notice when Machida started moving exactly like Anderson Silva? Hands, head movement, stance, it was freaky! The choke was impressive, but it was a tad unsportsman like to drop an unconscious guy on his face. This wass probably the best card I've seen, the quality of skills on show was something else, the match ups, the finishes, it was just as entertaining as it gets. Glad Ebersole won, I love that guy, I thought they would give it to Patrick. Kinda weird that Ebersole was in the most boring fight of the night. How about his submission defence though? Maybe Blackhouse should hire him for some tips lolz. I also love the Korean Zombie. I had him in a multi bet because his odds were so high, but I didn't think he had a chance against Homminick. 7 seconds later and it was all over! Oh Canada. Sad to see Krzysztof lose, exciting to see how he lost. Why don't more strikers just come out and pour it on like that? Oh yeah, Homminick... Costa Phillipou landing the most crisp hooks and straights you'll ever see, that was fun to watch, that moustachioed gentleman took a beating. Speaking of beatings that are fun to watch, watching Tito lose his 2nd straight to body shots was the best. I'm a Nog bros fan, but I had a bad feeling about this fight. How wrong I was, that was just a brutal beating, I found the rib pounding replay as cringe worthy as the Big Nog sub. My bad feeling was on the wrong twin. As soon as Mir went down, I said to my mate "Big Nog will go for the submission", I just knew that whole blackbelt scalp thing would get the better of him, should've just pounded him out, everyone knows Mir doesn't like getting hit in the face. The crazy transition scramble and the arm break is one of the most intense things I've seen in MMA. The groans at the bar I was at every time they replayed it was pretty funny. Probably career ending for Big Nog, and as much as I'm a fan, it's his own stupidity. Bad day for Blackhouse with 2 of their premier guys being submitted. Was a good fight though, good on Mir for what is one of the best comebacks - his comments about what breaking an arm feels like at the post match gave me a chuckle. All in all probably the best UFC I've seen, regardless of who I was going for. Now for 'Reem v Lesnar, Overeem got his license despite ducking a roid test, hmmmm ? He'll kill Lesnar, but I'll go for Lesnar in an upset.

Gervais and Merchant fans need to check out 'Life's Too Short'. I watched the first 4 episodes yesterday and I love it. A lot of recycled jokes/style from the Office and Extras, but hey, whatever works. They also make a lot of fun of themselves in the process. Warwick Davis is excellent.

So UFC on FX 2 will be here? TUF Finale Mayhem, geezus, what happened, he looked bad, embarrassingly bad. Horrible stand up, gassed, and lost to that wanchor, damn. Rest of the TUF finale was great, enjoyed all the fights. Two worthy TUF winners, although I'm not sure what Herb Dean is smoking these days, stopped that fight way too early, Rosenthal has passed him as the ref I feel most comfortable with. Keep an eye on Weidman, I've watched him closely because he's a Matt Sera fighter, seen all his fights, and I reckon he'll go close to being a title holder. What about the referee in that fight? Who let somebodies grandpa wander into the octagon and ref? Could've gotten Tom Lawlor killed. Then he got in the way in the Wandy / Le fight and perhaps stopped it early. Cung and Wandy was about as fun as a fight gets. Great kicks, combo's and massive heart by Cung. Nerves first, then the brutal bezerker that is Wanderlei Silva. Nothing better than watching him connect and swarm all over an opponent. So glad he won, hope there's a couple more wins in him. Hendo v Shogun was just epic. Not much needs to be said, I was surprised Shogun survived Hendo's power, even more surprised Shogun finished on top, he usually gasses. They both deserved the W, but I had Hendo, and was pretty clear that he won. Great, great fight. Hope Mayhem destroys Bisping. And I'll take Machida v Bozo Jones.

UFC on FUX Was ok for us on ONEhd I spose, we got the Guida v Henderson epic, everyone else around the world got half an hour of shyte talkin then a 1 minute fight. lolz. I know this isn't how the format will work in the future on FOX, but what a stupid way to kick it off, one fight, pfft. Anyway I watched all but the Swanson fight, and it was an ok card, some interesting battles. Bruce Leroy may be a bit of a [censored], but what an entertaining fighter. Great combo's on his feet, dangerous as hell on the ground. That switch kick was cool, well blocked though. Poirier is a killer, one of those fighters that'll just keep it simple and always get it done, idiots like me pick Garza instead in a multi bet, and was the only one I got wrong, so stupid. I had no idea who won the Carpenter v Smooth fight, but it was as entertaining as fights get. I picked Smooth, and now I'd like to see Frankie smash the 'praise Christ' out of him. I'm a huge fan of both Cain and JDS, thought Cain would take it, but I put money on JDS for the lucky/ well executed punching power. Great to see him win. Hope he can do what most heavyweights don't, and defend the title. Would like to see him vs Overeem. Was a decent card if you could be bothered switching from facebook to TV. I'll take Hendo and the Axe Murder this weekend.

Can't beat Breaking Bad, the best show on TV atm, best show since Oz and the Soprano's. I also watch The Walking Dead - if you don't like zombie stuff, don't bother. I love it so I enjoy the show. I'm liking the way the characters are changing over time (not after being bitten). Boardwalk Empire is great, second season is really hitting its straps. Big fan of Dexter, though last season was terrible, terribly written and terribly pointless. Julia Styles is terrible to look at. This season has it back on track. Game of Thrones is great, slow in parts but had me hooked in the end and hanging out for S02. Watched the first episode of American Horror Story, wasn't bad. I'll keep watching it just for the maid, hot damn! Comedies. Louie, Curb', Eastbound and Down, An Idiot Abroad, Peep Show, Tosh.0. Reality. The Ultimate Fighter.

Sad day for MMA with 2 legends retiring, but time was clearly up for Mirko, and BJ doesn't train hard enough, if he did he'd have continued to smash Diaz in the 2nd. Sad that Diaz won, period, my god he's a [censored]. But credit to him for never ever being in a boring fight. Can't see him ever beating GSP, but part of me would like to see it happen. BJ is one of my heroes, will be missed. Big Country has the hardest head in mma, he took the full force of JDS and CroCop and didn't die, that takes some doing. Was disappointed in Mitrione, Kongo looked scared early and Mitrone stood there doing nothing. Highlight for me was that Polish dude in the prelims, won't even attempt to spell his surname, but his first name was Bart, he belted Griffin. Put a multi on Siva, Mitrione, CroCop and Penn, 4 losses! I suck. Cerrone looks pretty damn scary in every fight, pity cowboys are gay. The next card is probably the worst card I've ever seen, are they joking thinking people will pay for that? It's barely worthy of a Fight Night. But those cards usually end up having sick fights, here's hoping.

136 spoiler below if you haven't watched it. Franky the Answer to everything Edgar!!! My god, if we had 3 of him in our midfield we'd go alright, heart bigger than Tito's head. What a fight, couldn't believe I was watching that first round, again. Then in the 2nd he just comes out like nothing had happened... again, and takes over. Also couldn't believe he finished it, thought he'd just box it out to a decision win, but what a lightweight champion he has become, a movie should be made about him. I thought K Flo did really well, felt bad for him looking so defeated after it, I think he'll retire, he's smart, will commentate and or train/coach. Aldo is a class above though, precision strikes, sadly for all the viewers he fought a really smart fight instead of giving us a highlight finish. If Aldo v Edgar does eventuate, I dunno who I'd go for, so part of me doesn't want it to happen. Nam Phan v Garcia was great. That was a brawling fight I'll watch about 50 times. If that cheating criminal beats Anderson Silva, I will cry. The Lion Hotel, level 3 Melbourne Central next to rockstar bowling. Big projector screen plus heaps of big screen TVs, good PA system and good food. Went yesterday and enjoyed it. I've also been to the Lower (Lower Plenty) not too bad.

Yeah this card looks real exciting, I can't wait. Edgar v Maynard III will be awesome, but I'm more excited about Aldo and Florian. I like Florian, but feel he may actually die in this fight. Aldo is an animal, just watching him practice kicks makes me cringe (kinda like Clint Bartram but different!). Guillard v Lauzon is a good match up, Melvin is in stellar form, looks a class above lately, hope he gets a title shot if he wins, I don't think any of the current contenders could handle his speed and power, gotta take him down quick. Hopefully Stann knocks out that big mouthed steroid using money launderer. Showtime Pettis and Stevens is a good matchup... just looks a much more exciting card than 135 was. Just on the brawlers being better to watch... Wanderlei is one of my favourites, but I'd much rather watch a well rounded fighter these days than watch Wandy throw reckless bombs and get countered or Shogun blow himself up if he can't connect early, Forest throw pitter patter slaps for 3 rounds etc... I like a good fight or a moment of brilliance. The bumfights don't do it for me any more. Did anyone see UFC on Versus the other night? Matt Wyman and Mac Danzig was a brilliant fight! Do any of you fellas know anywhere in the city that shows UFC cards?

I never doubted Jones was the real deal, it's blatantly obvious. I just want to see him get smashed. Can't see Rashad doing it, but my god I'd love to see it. Machida would be the biggest chance. I put 50 bucks on a Rampage/Hughes multi, had no faith in either of them but the odds were insane for an anything can happen sport, oh well. Retire Hughes. Big, big mistake by the UFC putting so many C grade heavy weights on in Denver, obviously didn't think about the high altitude when drawing up the card. Was glad to see Hunt win though, surprised Rothwell took all those shots, Hunt hits like a truck. James Te Huna was a big highlight for me, he just looks like a top line LHW.

Trust a Diaz to ruin everything. Nick Diaz didn't show up at 2 pressers now he is out of the GSP title fight. What a meathead moron. I was looking forward to BJ v Condit, now Condit gets the title shot against GSP and all my viewing pleasure is messed up. BJ v Condit would have been sick. GSP v Diaz would have been entertaining, I hate Diaz, but he'd take it to GSP and make it a fight worth watching. It's too early to give Condit a shot, GSP will be scared of his KO power and lay his way to a decision IMO. However if Condit pulled it off I'd be ecstatic. Dunno who BJ gets now. Lesnar v Overeem in Overeem's debut. Respect to Overeem for not waiting for a title shot and getting straight in. I think that fight could go either way. It'll be the first time 'Reem fights someone stronger than himself. I'm also looking forward to Rory McDonald v Brian Ebersole and Pat Barry v Stefan Struve. And come on Rampage.

Yeah that was a great way for Lytle to go out, was a great fight. I like Hardy. But I'm guessing if he wasn't British he'd have been cut after his 4th straight loss. Hope he gets a win. Man Smooth Henderson was great, I've never seen Jim Miller lose let alone get dominated like that. Did you go to AFC 2 on Saturday? Was a good night, there was some young talent there, Polish 19 year old pulled off one crazy ninja roll knee bar type deal, he looked potentially UFC bound. Was good to see Jesse Taylor from the Ultimate Fighter get beat up. I wonder why Hector Lombard isn't in the UFC, roids probably. There was a fight in the foyer too, Wayne Carey and his missus going at it in front of everyone, come on Wayne, this ain't Miami. Hopefully the next AFC in Melbourne has a cage.

If Bones fights in the Matrix, then Silva wrote it and controls everything that goes on in it. I mean what a freak, how many more fighters will he embarrass before he retires and goes on to master quantum physics or whatever he chooses to master. Okami never stood a chance in my view, but having seen all his fights, he has never looked so second rate, he has always been a good aggressive fighter, he looked scared as soon as he copped one jab. That's what Anderson does, he makes them all turn to jelly. Once the hands drop and that aggressive forward Bruce Lee shuffle comes on, you know Anderson is about to end it any way he wants. How about the jab that knocked Okami down, and he just let him back up to entertain the home crowd a bit more? Crazy. It's a shame in the greater sporting world Anderson Silva will never be known like a Jordan or Tiger Woods, because he's clearly the greatest fighter the world has ever seen in my view. As for the rest of the Rio main card, excellent, can't complain about all those finishes! And I picked every fight right, although if I was judging I'd have given it to Ross Pearson.
