  1. Something is not right at the club right now. Constant leaks are not something that just happen, it is a sign that not everyone is on the same page on and off the field. You have to question the motive that they had to leak this news THIS WEEK. There will be people happy to say all is well at the club but this is certainly a blip and trust is being breached by a rat in the ranks.
  2. 90%? I reckon I've given maybe 2 critique posts on Nibbler's game in the last 5 years and while there's plenty here that have heaped it on him, I'm certain that he's beloved by many on here.
  3. The more pertinent question is why was it leaked this week. That's what I'd like to know...
  4. The plans might have been conceived though?
  5. Most people's favourite player that they didn't realise was their favourite. Will miss you Nibbler.
  6. We're stuffed. Leadership down the toilet
  7. I can't really comment on Kate's leadership as I don't sit on board meetings or any other governance level tasks at the club. I do feel that Kate is someone who prefers to leave the football management stuff to the football people and not get stuck in with things outside if her wheelhouse and I do prefer this to the gung ho approach of Kennett, Gordon, Cochrane etc. My only real issue is on the home base.
  8. I solely watched Oliver for about 10 mins in the 2nd or 3rd quarter, he hardly moved from the centre square or wing area and was usually 30+ metres off the contest. Barely broke out of a jog. He has to have a virus or something, yes he's had a down year but something about this game looked different. Someone in the gameday thread mentioned when he came off he was throwing up or something like that so who knows but it made the Clarry we've been getting this year look pretty good.
  9. I felt like I asked this in one of the non Q & A eps so I'd like to bump it again but apologies in advance if it's been covered already on an ep I missed, would be great to hear everyone's thoughts: "If Ed Langdon were going to the Paris Olympics, what would be his pet event on the track? 800m/1500mm/5k/10k/Marathon/something else?"
  10. Everyone be nice to the train driver.
  11. Fantastic post. This is exactly where we are at right now and a little reality check is what is needed.
  12. Could he be that guy? Yes. Could he not? Yes.
  13. Least favourite thread on Demonland currently.

I'd he shocked if the conversation wasn't at least had this off-season, it's on a year by year basis at this point. Lever is the heir apparent.
  15. It would be like buying a lottery ticket to jail.
  16. I always prefer a showbag to a medal but that's just me.
  17. If we just hand over that pick 6 to Port then I will be annoyed. We'll band-aid one area while surgery is still needed.
  18. Well this kid turned out to be one of the game's greatest.
  19. Problem is that there are other clubs with supporters who would show up if they were scheduled at the G. 29k turned up to Marvel for Essendon v GC...
  20. So if were winning would more people be turning up or is the game style that bad that it turns you off completely? No wrong answers, but it would be good to know how many people feel like this.
  21. But why should we bother going then? I do see what you're saying in that the broadcast money is probably a lump sum anyway but you still like to think that when you come to the game that you're supporting the health of the footy club financially as well as the team on the day. Is this just old fashioned thinking now? Do the networks really care how it looks on TV once they buy the rights?
  22. Sure, but how many of these clubs go sub 20k at the G on a Sat night when they are still technically in the running for finals? There's a bare minimum and I don't feel we are reaching it. I'd rather not start getting Docklands home games as a result of it, the health of the club is important.
  23. I've been out for a couple of hours around the Prahran area and already seen a heap of Blues and Hawks fans around. This would have been the prime Sat night game and I wouldn't blame them if they were annoyed about being relegated to the early Sun timeslot, I'm sure we would have complained about it in the past.
  24. The players look pretty confused with the gameplan right now and in this game we defaulted to players gravitating to the boundary. We aren't what we were when it comes to repeat stoppages, we needed to be bold and take the game on more through rhe middle. I hope we stick with what we were trying to develop earlier in the year, teams need a good transition game at the moment and I'm confident this method while keeping elements of the old one will bear fruit.
