  1. No this is normal business practise at Richmond. Don't forget they sacked Tony Jewell after he won them a flag in 1980. This is an average week for Richmond...They will finish 9th.
  2. This is a great thread, I am laughing Loudly at work!! Thanks Guys...
  3. Sympathies to the Cloke Family, nobody deserves this treatment. I hope the cops find the culprit quickly. The motive will be fascinating though. This is no way a random attack.
  4. No you are dead right. 2009 is very similiar to 1953..I like the fact that Nobody out there in Footy land quite realizes how Big the MFC could become if managed in the right way.
  5. I think our only hope with lance is either someone has a "somewhat confrontation" with him in the carpark pre-game or else use transendental Meditation on him to make him believe he is in fact living out his childhood fantasy, by playing for THE DEMONS. One of there Forwards is going to kick a lot of goals-too many options unless the supply is dried.
  6. Is that because he would be wearing a different Jumper?
  7. A lot of words once again with not even a HINT of an answer in sight...Yrs Hazy you will be back, once again sticking up for your Train Wreck of a Board. I only wish an answer
  8. In a few years time when we are sitting atop with 8 zip next to our name, our membership tally will be way above 45,000. That is a really poor figure for the Saints considering the way they are going. Maybe the supporters are not Happy to be at Etihad Airlines Stadium after all
  9. I want to know & have for a long time why Hazy has a strong Vendetta against the new board. I doubt he was on the last board but i believe he had connections who are no longer involved. Cosidering the state the club was in 12 Months ago i find his arguements quite out of line.
  10. These new clubs will recieve on going assistance have no fear. I think around 5 years. But it will be much longer than just one year. We are in a good position right now.
  11. I have to disagree with that Somewhat. Next year DB will be in his 3rd year. The players will know his methods. The list is mostly young Fit & getting stronger. Look at the AFL Ladder right now. 1 game separates about 8 teams. If you are in that position you are right in the mix. We must Aim to win while GC 17 & WS are still learning the game.
  12. At least we didn't sell our club to Oil Sheiks who really couldn't care less. Man U will regret that decision one day. Same goes for City & Chelsea.
  13. The Filth's season is already Buggered. I shall look forward to spotting Eddie's pasty & pale face during the game, as he stated earlier this year that Collingwhatever were a genuine Flag threat" NOT.
  14. I just wonder how it impacts on the players actually out there during a game. Its far easier to get badly injured if you are not totally switched on. I agree with the post i am just not sure whether it can be implemented for real. On Paper it is SPOT ON I have always remembered Carlton beating Port in Round 11 then not winning again. Demetriou wouldn't believe it.
  15. If the Coaching Staff can Pull it off without the players losing their competitive edge i am all for it, I don't know how you tell payers to stay hungry for the contest when the plan is not to win. But the lure of the "Pot of Gold" draft picks at seasons end is certainly a major incentive. Who cares what the Media says, I don't & neither do they. The AFL made these Rules, we are merely playing them. (For the Record) I think the team is playing for draft picks now..Against West Coke during the last 5-6 minutes Davey & Nate Jones resting on the Bench...
  16. Yes you are correct, but are you prepared to email this note to Jimmy Stynes? & how do you orchestrate this plan with still 14 weeks of the season to go. Tea Breaks in the centre square during a Quarter maybe? It's a lovely idea but it can only be implemented in late july/august.
  17. Not sure about that call, I would think from now on till the end of the season the Richmond players are playing for their contract & worth. I Reckon they will come home hard & Finish 9th!
  18. If The MFC manages to secure 2 Top Draft picks at seasons end, i expect The Premiership Campaign to begin. I expect nothing less. We must try & win 1 or 2 before the new clubs kick in to gear. We will have a true Window....
  19. We have one of the "Good" Morton's already. Don't push your luck!
  20. Peter Vardy was the last one we got as i remember. Good player in 2002, i liked his style.
  21. Very True it is. Happens way more times than you think.
  22. yes but they don't want to play to empty stadiums or low TV Ratings either. It's a fine Balance. G Lyon may agree with Hutchison under his breath, but he aint going to mention it on Footy Classified. Our Prez has scorned disdain at Tanking too remember Very Fine line we tread this year.
  23. I am in no way disputing what we should do, i just believe it is too early in the season to call it. Does not look good for Sponsors if we are seen to be Tanking all year. I have my fingers crossed quietly that Picks 1 & 2 will come our way but if not it aint the End of the world.
  24. Geary is a dam good player who has held his spot in a Top side. Frank Grimes is still learning the Trade, (albeit well)..
  25. Pretty sure it's Geelong, But not 100% sure.
