  1. True. Although both the Filth and Tankers had much bigger photo's of there new recruits - so too the Bombers, than our clubs. I was a little disappointed with the size of the picture of our boys. I was hoping for bigger exposure myself. Perhaps even backpage! Guess I just want what is best for the club.
  2. I agree. He's probably waiting for a response from me, aren't you 45h?
  3. Yes. Apparently they're taking the view that Pratt wasn't totally 'aware' at the meetings that took place (allegedly) with the "Price fixing" as the main topic of concern, due to some alleged medical condition or something... . One of those excuses to help widen a loop hole I'm guessing. I could be wrong.
  4. Whilst it is probably not earth shattering injury news, some people like to read if one of the players actually "sneeze" at training. For all we know, Sylvia was probably just saying he was a "bit stiff", that's all. Then had a lengthy spell in the loo. He's reported what he has seen. If it's not enough for you, that's fine. By the way whilst it may be a little misleading it's hardly "alarmist" IMO.
  5. Tried to search for this news item through the threads but couldn't find anything, so I don't think it may have been posted as a news link.......so here it is, it's in relation to Nick Davis & Brisbane (The AGE - Real Footy/Fairfax) for the Pre-Season Draft. He could be finished... LIONS DITCH DAVIS
  6. He's training with Hawthorn and played with the Murray Bushrangers. Thoughts? He played as a tall defender. Is he someone we should be looking at for the Rookie Draft? RILEY MILNE
  7. Sometimes a picture can tell a thousand words, these photos look impressive from a demon fan point of view. Thanks for the pics M2W. He can leap and take a mark, and Bail looks to be very fit (ie an endurance type player). But thats about it. Nevertheless hopefully he is a 'real find' for the club.
  8. Hopefully they are. They have an extended Christmas break.
  9. Former spinner Pat Symcox slams cocky countrymen The above is a link to Pat Symcox's views on South Africa. He doesn't mind criticising his own country now and again. The Sth Africans have come over with confidence in dismantling Australia. This type of news will go down like a lead balloon in the Sth African changerooms...
  10. Nice back flip.
  11. Essendon could be a chance. Knights did say that they would be prepared to look at an experienced player with their predominantly young list.
  12. Interesting perspective you have in passing the 'batton' from the Brad's to the Jack's. If you were pretty much on the same line as the "bulk of people here", don't you think you would have McLean as captain?
  13. That's an impressive growth corridor, cheers for that link too.
  14. In terms of comparing them to Valenti, I think you are.
  15. You missed the point. Frank's proposal to give up our PSD pick for a player who doesn't want to play for Mfc is ridiculous and has nothing to do with Chris Connolly's recent comments - which is a bit of spin and made me laugh. It's ridiculous to even suggest "don't let Carlton get another freebie" as "Gett'n Tough" which is the title of the thread.
  16. Fair point there.
  17. Re: Video Link: Good stirring win. An injection of young quality footballers is required. I believe we got some of the missing jigsaw from the ND. I agree that our future is at least looking brighter, but there is much still to be done on and off the field.
  18. Good point Titan. Well covered. My thoughts precisely. You can still have your leadership group, but you must have a focal point, one Captain who leads by example in spades. Although, not so much as a lack of faith in the leaders at Melbourne, but it shows the lack of strong leadership at Melbourne. But I see signs of that improving in Brock and even Jack Watts later on.
  19. I think Krejza will play. We probably need him in just to keep up with the over rate. Seriously, if Krejza is fit, he should play. I agree with Rhino with regards to the Ashes and Clark. Good line and length is a pre-requisite. He has a good record. Perth I think will suit him into the 'Fremantle doctor' too. A bit of swing would be nice. Whereas Lee and Johnson don't really generate much of that. Does anyone think Siddle is a chance for the line-up? He can swing it a mile.
  20. Being a bit tough on Jones and Davey despite their seasons this year.
  21. I believe so... I wouldn't say CJ would be a shoo in for Carlton's best 22 by a long shot... Correct. Exactly how I read it too AXis.
  22. I hope longer term doesn't mean in 30 years time......
  23. A tour of India and one test at home doesn't really equate to one and a half innings 45hotgod... Let's drop this stoush, what do you think of Watson coming back into the line up? Or, Andrew Hilditch's description of Perth as a wicket that takes spin? I'm a little bemused by his comments. Perth is definitely not renowned for being conducive to "Spin". To me, the only spin on offer were Andrew Hilditchs words yesterday.
