I doubt it's Elliot Ness doing the leaking. He may be exceeding his KPIs but I doubt he is the one leaking It's the AFL leaking and Id like to know why and why the club just rolls over while due process gets shafted you know where If the curtain comes down over this and they don't expand the investigation to at least six other clubs then it will be confirmed to all and sundry just where the AFL stands on issues of Integrity. If this happens it will be interesting to see how the press force-fed lap-dogs react. Given half now work for the AFL media centre and most of the rest are permanently bent over double I doubt they will do anything beyond a few obligatory squeaks. The integrity of the integrity investigation is questionble

Why hasn't the club come out and complained loudly about the AFL Investigation leaking like a sieve? Whatever happened to due process or isn't that in the AFL's lexicon of Integrity? I'm really started to develop a persecution complex here

I don't think greed is the word you are searching for Greedy for success is fine Greed for money does not apply here A wiilingness to step over the line is more like the problem Problem here is the line is poorly defined and the precedents set by other clubs do not help either Having said all that I personally am uncomfortable with tanking despite the difficulty in definition I would only be satisfied if the inquiry covered all clubs and all clubs come clean

I don't understand why you think "he would know", or for that matter why any of the leadersship group would be told anything If there was any policy of experimentation (or whatever you wish to call it) by the coaching dept then you would expect the players would absolutely be kept out of it Involving the players would be a whole different thing.

Did the players play to lose? - I very very much doubt it Did the coaching staff coach to lose? - possibly/probably Is the coaching staff playing to lose but at the same time experimenting = tanking? Debatable Is there a definition of tanking? No (only the ubiquitous 'bringing the game into disrepute' rule) Did other clubs' coaching staff play to lose in the past decade? - possibly/probably Will the AFL investigate all clubs equally and fairly? probably not Did Jorge Lorenzo ride to lose at Phillip Island for future rewards - Definitely
