A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN
daisycutter replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
as they used to say od, i you haven't got a solution you must be part of the problem -
only if you first shave yours off you'd have too much of a head start (or should that be beard start) btw what's wrong with just a good old pizzing competition

when's the last time you saw an 8 point plan HT? can't be against 'em if you've never see 'em. Now 9 point plans, they're very different

how come the fist is greater than the club emblem rangey? just sloppy photoshopping or what? you need to fix that up -
what do you have against 9 point plans? pure planist decimist discrimination.

Who is largely responsible yet consistently slips under the radar?
daisycutter replied to CBDees's topic in Melbourne Demons
guess it shows how much the players were behind him at geelong -
never left before the end of a game and don't intend to change

so you're saying the fault is having moulded studs? although i thought they had screw ins, so you could vary the length according to conditions you couldn't trust that sort of technical stuff to mere players, certainly not ours better not alert the club, he's probably still drawing a salary -
shock jock? you obviously haven't lived in sydney or the US or UK i don't agree with a lot of what mitchell says but he's not a shock jock

OK saty, put yourself in the player's position You are being criticised in the press and by all and sundry, as a rabble with no heart, no culture, no desire etc etc Additionally you are being ridiculed as looking like a bunch of distracted hill-billies running a beard competition (fairly or unfairly) I know what i'd do. That beard would be off in milli seconds perceptions do count, especially in a highly publicised professional sport like AFL if you want to "talk the talk" you'd better be prepared to "walk the walk" (or cop it)

well if they didn't then the AFL discretionary priority pick scenario would be a fantasy i'd prefer something like the mini-draft rights. that would give us more scope and options -
no it doesn't blame beards for their performance - at least i don't but i would argue that silly beard competitions is evidence of where their mindset is, and shaving them might make a more positive statement than continuing the competition and the ridicule it brings with it.
