  1. nicholson is one who could definitely improve with the right coaching imo his basic kicking action is ok and he occasionally kicks quite well he would be worth working on because he at least knows how to find the ball
  2. its called stocktake time od nothing to do with like or dislike we either change our ways or go the way of of the lions
  3. i really doubt carlscum would cough up pick 9. but if they did i'd take it in a flash
  4. I don't think the equipment these days is so much the issue I think a big part of the problem is transmission bandwidth Until the analog channels are fully decommissioned the stations have a limited bandwidth for DTV which they have to divide into multiple channels More channels per station = less bandwidth per channel less bandwidth = lower quality broadcast (ie lower definition) stations mitigate this problem by using compression algorithms, however the more compression the more problems with quality so it is a balancing act fta stations have basically decided to have more channels but lower definition when they get back the analog bandwidth and the technology costs keep declining this could all change
  5. eddie a journalist?.......................more a scribbler LOL
  6. so, it perplexes me then that the press don't give this more widespread coverage what's going on here?
  7. i thought he was suspended for 12 mths not 6. It was bailey who was suspended for 6 mths AFAIK connolleys suspension is not due to end until early next year
  8. did anyone attend the club luncheon before the gws game? i heard jackson said the afl money was 1.5M and not 2.75M Also said the only payback was the afl having a say on board approvals No cash for a coach Said what is in the press is more to appease other clubs than the reality Any truth in this Any comments
  9. i don't think wyl played much senior footy, bub
  10. true and those factors will test the resolution of the club next year in some respects next year could be harder to take than this year (depending on a few intangibles)
  11. wyl, you don't get taught an appetite for the contest
  12. yes, and "soft" is just the nice word to use. others may be harsher,,,,just saying
  13. i don't dislike him od, but judging him as an afl player i have to face reality this is five years now. i watch him very closely its such a waste of basic talent
  14. next year will be heads down and bums up od we will be lucky to win any games and will be wooden spooners anyone who expects more is dreaming there will be wholesale delistments, we will lose some to FA and trades replacing these players (apart from draftees) will be a gargantuan task our chances of attracting any good FA's or good trades are small we won't get our midfield next year or did you foresee a miracle
  15. wake up wyl he wants to play football like its basketball he hates contact....he is S O F T.....got it i stuck with him all along but i got off his bandwagon the last month or so its not a coaching thing its an instinctive thing. He is not for the contest and isn't going to change. he never wins one on one at best he can be a wide receiver he is now a more senior player and sets a bad example. for his lack of effort he would be dropped at most clubs keeping him just asks for more of the same like i said before....yeah its sad....but its reality
  16. why would a ceo make a call on a player? this is the same thing people criticised schwab for edit:sp
  17. yeah. its in sydney called the something harbour bridge.....we got it real cheap in a draft trade we'll make a motza on it, you wait and see
  18. jack needs time for what? he already has the skill set will he wake up one day and magically decide he has a liking for the contest? accept it....he is just too soft for afl football we can't just keep saying another year, a few more games, a new mentor. its not in his dna if he still has currency get what we can for a trade yeah i know its sad, but i don't want to do nothing and be condemned for another long period on the bottom with players going nowhere
  19. leave him at casey until (if) he develops a hunger for leather and some smarts I don't see much future for him but there again i could say the same for half the list
  20. team: [censored] [censored] [censored]
  21. i thought you had a wee word with the lads about unsocial behaviour bbo?
  22. yes and no, depending on who you believe and what you measure.....but they still survive am i feeling better? after today?..........................but i'll survive albeit somewhat worse for the experience never thought i'd enjoy this cricket team more than my footy
  23. ? you lost me jumbo...care to elaborate
  24. The footy dept would not be a very happy workplace at the moment Jackson has told them their development and recruitment stink and there will be wholesale changes in staff They are dead men walking and their minds would be elsewhere Understandably this would rub off on the players and not be very conducive to their confidence and team spirit Will probably get worse until the season ends I hope management (Jackson) realise this and take steps to minimise the rot I once worked for a large company that pre-announced a 20% retrenchment 4 months in advance (no-one named) There was not much work done in those 4 months and morale plummeted
  25. you mean you haven't noticed? looks like a dead man, walks like a dead man.....must be a.......
