so true bub tommy loved the game in the most positive and giving manner wasn't unusual for him to watch 6 games in a weekend starting off with the tackers early in the morning he always had time for people and gave his advice freely i got to know him a little, way back when i played with his brother at east malvern in the federal league in my waning days tommy's passing is a huge loss for football and whilst being sadly missed has left a treasure trove of good memories for so many condolences to his family

The Mighty Demons, not the "Dees"
daisycutter replied to Fitz Fitzpatrick's topic in Melbourne Demons
yeah, i always liked that -
why.....it's perfectly legit and keeps the game flowing by handballing away before being tackled it keeps the ball alive. the handballer still has to win back possession of the ball back which is not a given only if he handballs to himself should he be deemed to still be in possession the ump should allow a little bit of discretion to the tackler but only a little. if he fully tackles him and majorly retards him then a free i can't see any difference from this to a dinky last second 5-10 metre dribble kick i both cases the disposer still has to win back possession of the ball

but in his case, he's not a journalist's arzole, he's an opinionist and a slimey one at that he's so shite that anyone who really follows football takes whatever opinion he spouts with a grain of salt

i noticed you said "probably" which is stronger than "possibly" i therefore assumed you must have based it on something i've seen plenty of quoted estimates over the 1000 mark anyway lets not sweat it, i was just curious why you plucked out "1/50" and therefore "800" -

so if these "laws" decrease injuries, hence insurance payouts then insurance premiums should drop insurance companies would be very happy to see their revenues drop, right insurance is a bit like credit cards, you want the debt but you don't want it, you want injuries but you don't want injuries if there were no sport injuries we wouldn't need injury insurance it's a circular argument in summary i think you overplay the direct role of the insurance companies of course i'm not saying the afl wouldn't benefit from lower premiums......but not the insurance companies
