  1. didn't do well in the dry last week either
  2. i'm not advocating nor predicting for col to go i'd be happy whether he stays or goes if he goes i don't think it would necessarily hurt us, depending on what compo we get and how we use that compo
  3. well sylv we just disagree then about heppell
  4. i'd have him in a heart beat. we can always use a bit of cream
  5. 7 billion people and growing at a frightening rate........that's the real problem that no-one wants to acknowledge d-l human nature of the baser type could be apocalyptic when you add in gcc but we mustn't talk about it as its offends the sensibilities
  6. but....you have zero confidence we will win....
  7. heppell's got to much height over viney yeah i know height less important on a wet day but i'd still be using bernie on him viney can kill zaha, but zaha's form has been shyte lately
  8. softer end? that's a bit harsh on heppell wouldn't be surprised if he becomes this week's project for bernie boy
  9. won't stay white for long tomorrow
  10. i think the bar for senior players has to be lower than just best 22 best 22 in a good side usually includes 4-6 players who could be replaced by depth players. that's where we need to be. i'm not saying garland isn't best 16 just the bar needs to be lower for senior players (esp those under fa who may have good compo value)
  11. yep and there'll be lots of them given the weather
  12. i will give afl away for a week......errr 6 days
  13. well yes, that was a possibility and it depends on what the actual penalty(s) would have been (not necessarily what media were saying) but, if you take the nfl decision as a guide it is likely it could have been wrapped up with min player penalties they would definitely have been better off than what has transpired imo
  14. well daniel andrews picked essendung does that help?
  15. no, we just normally lose. full stop.
  16. acc: dank is part of the chain for drug importation, if not the actual importer gov: would like a political coup (read scapegoat) without damaging the popular (read votes) sport too much - hence dank asada/wada: here i disagree. think they want both. they want the players because that is the whole core of their approach on peds - personal responsibility, and they need to enforce that or it all falls apart afl: agree. more interested in self preservation/income than enforcing wada code
  17. closest thing i have as a hazmat suit
  18. and rules are made to be broken, moonie
  19. take a large umbrella, drizabone and gummies (and camera) and go and watch bbo f log himself
  20. the "real target" for who? afl? asada? acc? gov? wada?
  21. it's just a salary cap issue they can't overspend the salary cap, so if they can fit him in then it's legit and nothing to do with overall p&l plus for landing danger some benefactor will probably chip in and he would be good for membership sales
