eloquently put, ernest of course we already knew moonie was an illiterate hayseed, who may be quite conversant with peasants but is clueless when it comes to romance languages

what? they don't have "mystery injury" or "missing from injury" categories? sounds pretty dodgy
-
amen

maybe not legally, but they do make the salary rules and could change them anytime, plus there is always the "bringing the game into disrepute" angle bottom line is that if they wanted to they could find a way
-
glad that's all resolved then

quite and knowing how litigious essendon can be and how they would lawyer up and drag it on for years
-
will be interesting to see how the afl views these legal payouts with respect to the salary cap for those players who re-sign. would seem a very big loop-hole to get around the salary cap to free up big money for trading in players doubt the afl integrity dept would be up to the challenge though. easier to look the other way

i agree nut. and not only was he drafted from tac but also playing senior sanfl (quite successfully) with the big boys at a young age. another aspect is being drafted interstate. this can have a dramatic effect on some young guys. it's not just the family things, but virtually everything, your friends, your environment, your family, lifestyle etc. it can be quite daunting for some and i suspect jimmy felt he was a fish out of water somewhat and it knocked his self confidence. this is something that is very hard to evaluate at drafting time. leaving school and starting a new life is problematic enough (for some) without being catapulted into a totally new environment interstate. -

it's 2 1st round picks in 4 years and the years are rolling so we are already covered to 2018. in 2019, the rolling 4 years are 12016,17,18,19 so assuming we use a first round pick in 2019 we need to have used at least one from 2016, 17, 18. can only have one in 2016 if we can trade one in or get one from fa. assuming we don't will need to have 1 in either 2017 or 2018 clear as mud?

nice one, andy -
weather forecast for sat, sun is fine 21deg. should be good conditions for footy and those saying dogs will be worse off for coming off a heavier game are forgetting both teams have an 8 day recovery
