Personally I think there's only one thing we need. A mindset which can overcome our worst enemy... which is our fear of losing. 

Unfortunately we have a culture of choking when it really matters. Whatever they were drinking in the hub in 2021 created a short term antidote, clearly....

Our gameplan prevents us from having decent inside 50s. Until we start to take brave kicks through the corridor occasionally, we will be too easy to defend against. We are just too predictable.

We've waited a long time to smash Collingwood in a final. This is going to be brilliant.

leading the comp for tackling and tackles inside 50 helps too. we are last for disposal efficiency, amazingly...

I was a trainer with the MFC in the 1976 to 1985 and an athletics official for 30 years (Olympics in 2000 and Commonwealth Games 2006) so I have seen it all.

I love the club and I hope he makes a great recovery like Max Gawn who did his knee twice but he could be the MFC version of Alex Johnson who did his knee 6 times.

I hope those who think I am sad sack, I hope you put in the similar amounts of work that did for the MFC.

I would think he has done work on the weightless treadmill first not running outside.

the game plan was working at 3 quarter time. We were beating the cats with their preferred system of play - and although Hawkins was dangerous, he was their only forward. Remember Rd 1 - where he was quiet but Menzel and others got off the chain.

tne cats rolled the dice at 3 quarter time and went to all out attack at the stoppages - which worked. Omac was isolated versus Hawkins and got smashed, but just about every full back would have been. He needed more support from either some midfield defence or a spare in the hole. We were too slow to adapt. Hibberd probably would have make a difference here, and been a fair chance to spoil Tuohy. 

i think his first 50 games have at least been the equal of his brother - and his decision making and disposal is much, much better. I wish some of his teammates showed his composure with his mark and kick in the last couple of minutes. 

A couple more years and 5-10 kg and he will be our version of Daniel Talia - who is the cornerstone of the crows defence and an all Australian. 

Tom macdonalds first 50 games were light years ahead of omac. You on some crazy drugs there. Tom mac actually plays the ball as a defender. Omac only does when hes third man in. One on one he gets outbodied or out sprinted every time.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I somehow even miss Frawley now. He seemed to put in about 50% of the time but at least he was capable of beating an opponent at times.

 

 

This. Even though frost is only half good, i was hoping to hell goodwin would play him on tomahawk tonight but i knew he wouldnt and look what happens. Omac is too man concious and too reactive when the pressure in on. Frost attacked the contests and focused in the ball.

The players panicked. As usual.

Lewis is making us worse in 2018 so this will work out in our favour.
