Papers now saying GC keen on Jack Martin and won't give pick 2 for Tippett. If true it would seem they are unlikely to bid for JV. GWS can still do a deal for Hogan with us and then JV slips to 23. Here's hoping.

The compo is done by deducting the players you get from the ones you lose on a value formula and then you get a pick. Rivers and Moloney would gain high compo together if we don't get anyone as a FA.

If we could achieve that I would be ecstatic. I would then offer pick 120 to Cats for Byrnes so as not to upset the compo process. Yes they can trade him if he agrees.

Interesting that Richo just said that Pies have Lynch after re signing Cloke, doing a deal with O'Brien and Johnson and offering new deals to Goldsack, Krakouer and Wellingham. Wonder where all the salary cap room has come from.

I get the feeling if they are prepared to trade him, his injuries are far worse than we think. He turns 22 next June and has played only 12 games.
