Was thinking exactly that when I saw their delistings.

Can I tear out the pages?

i know how you feel, the frustration just gets the better of you. I have said it on here before and I don't wan't to sound like a nag, but I just get so upset when I think of what BP has left us. His high end choices have just been diabolical and are a major reason why we are chopping so many players. It just seems to me that he refused to go safe, to prove how smart he was and it has backfired heavily.

Some of them do. Andy Maher on SEN this morning said we had done a good job and Neeld was stamping a team that he wanted, rather than what was forced on him. Michael Gleeson in the Age today said the same. That shows that not all of the media are [censored] all of the time.

Settle down, you are talking about boys who were part of our club.
-
Could be a big day today. First training session. We might get to see pictures of all our new boys in their Melbourne gear.
-
If Byrnes is still on our list in 3 years we will be nowhere.
-
Apparently fools like Denham and Barrett are not.
-
I dislike Lynch and hope Blucher and he cop a pasting form the AFL.

Think we can make a good gain, if we can convince someone like Jacobs to come out and say he wants to play with us and that he will nominate for the PSD with that intention.
-
Maybe there was a discussion when the tanking inquiry started, that we might like to see the whole T$ recruiting issue investigated as well. Who knows?

By mutual agreement you could change a contract. If he agreed to cancel or vary it to say $100.00 for the year, we could pay him out and he would be free to cross to WC. They wouldn't have to give up prized pick 88 and we wouldn't be up for some of his salary. They say they were keen to get him and they would have done a deal where they get him for nothing. They are talking about him making their starting 22 for the first game.
-
Not really.

The simple answer is f... them. We either start winning games and credibility, or remain fodder for the stupid comments of fools and headline seekers.

I just cant see GWS with its plethora of mids, passing on Grundy, who is described as one of the best big man talents in the draft for a while. With their shortage of ruckmen he seems too good to pass up for them. They have two more first round picks to grab mids or whoever if they want, but Grundy wil be gone by then.

After 4 and JV we will have 3 spots left. I would imagine we will take 2 delisted players and 1 PSD, or an extra pick in the ND and 1 delisted and 1 PSD.

Bennell played nearly 15 games a year and but for injury more. Petterd had his moments. Jurrah certainly had AFL talent.
-
It's the hidden payments, that are the big issue.
-
And we say goodbye to 5 more players from the senior list.

Maybe Tippett, should just claim that he was only going up to Sydney to have a look around.

In today's Sun it says that Morton's relationship with Neeld was beyond repair and that, of course, WC really rated Morton and that he was a real chance for their starting 22 next year. Now I understand that we were getting rid of players and that those players were not going to get us picks that we would use. Therefore we obviously made the decision to do the deal whatever we were offered. However to trade Morton for the lowest trade pick in the whole period and then be forced to pay part of his salary as well is just plain insulting. At the very least, if we aren't capable of doing a deal with WC, then offer Morton a delist and contract termination and he could have gone to WC in ND or PSD for nothing. That is better for us than paying some of his salary. He would have taken the deal as he was desperate to get away from Neeld. Likewise on the Gys deal we caved and upgraded picks for North as well, instead of for us, which might have got us Ray. Harrington said we were very close on Ray. Perhaps a better deal of an unpgrade for us would have got us Ray. I personally don't understand how Gys is not worth a fair bit more than Pedersen. Who is younger and has more upside and future at this point in time? Until someone shows me why my view is wrong, I believe we are poor at negotiating. From what I have seen we have basically given what was asked of us on every single deal and trade including Hogan. GC got their Martin with pick 2 and we gave 3 & 13 with 20 back for Hogan. I am not upset about how it worked out but am just making the point. I also know that Viney was in there but so what, we wanted Viney at 26 and they wanted 3. Even with Dawes we gave 20 and then downgraded picks which again could have cost us Ray or another player. I don't think that we have demonstrated an ability to do deals to our advantage.

"Every recruiter in the country expects me to take xxxxxxxx but I'll show them, I am going to take zzzzzzzzzzz What's that you say, he isn't even in the draft."
-
Lets hope we want him.

Hope the AFL absolutely slams Lynch and Blucher.
