Is it just me, or is anyone else sick of the saturation Anzac day coverage of the same 2 clubs that play every year. It seems to be even more than GF week. Also, why rave about the Anzac day medal, when only 2 clubs are eligible?

I meant even though we were solvent, yet because we lost a couple of football games, some were urging the AFL to take us over. It was just absurd to suggest it, if one had even the slightest knowledge of Corporate Law.

Most people tire of condescending posters, clearly the penny hasn't dropped yet.

I can't believe you have written that. I am just stunned. So much of what is written here is based on media allegations, without proof and I have railed against it.

Or was it contrived solely so that the AFL didn't lose face, after their QC told them they had nothing and would get smashed in a Court hearing? Also was it agreed to by the MFC, because they were told no more AFL money and you play in New Guinea and Mexico for your home games from now on? PS. I believe it had absolutely nothing to do with the good of the game. Do you have any different information that would assist me in changing my view?

I think it was only the threat from Neeld to see him in Court that made him retract. I heard that threat.

I posted this on another thread and I would love to know the answer. Is Demetriou more angry with us for answering a specific question he asked, which has proven to be the correct answer, but at the same time omitting to volunteer further information to a question not specifically asked, than he is with Essendon for injecting players in the stomach with unknown substances and having secret contracts that the AFL was not aware of? I would love any media person in this country to have the guts to ask that simple question.

I think Range Rovers can only hoot once.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Redleg replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Unless it is us they are safe. We are the AFL whipping boys. -
Would love to win this week and get in the eight, just to query those who said we as a solvent club, should be put in administration by the AFL.

If you are correct he shouldn't be running the game. -

Let me ask this question: Is Demetriou more angry with us for answering a specific question he asked, which has proven to be the correct answer, but at the same time omitting to volunteer further information to a question not specifically asked, than he is with Essendon for injecting players in the stomach with unknown substances and having secret contracts that the AFL was not aware of? I would love any media person in this country to have the guts to ask that simple question. It won't happen with the football media we have, they want to keep their footy pass. -
Very funny. Always loved the Pythons.

Yes really thrilled for him. Hope he goes on with it now. We need midfielders more than money.

hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!

No name mentioned.

He is the most exciting player I have seen at his age, with us, in years. A few of the other Dees playing at Casey also looked good. Things are not as bleak as they seem.

Hope you get your birthday wish.

On 3 AW yesterday Sheahan said it was a good thing we didn't examine the Eagles and Crows and even the Swans in premiership years as he alluded to a lot going on. He said the Swans have been the leader in this "extras" area for the last 15 years. Matthews said that he as a Coach and every other coach would do whatever and take whatever as long as legal of course, to get an edge. If not he said you would have been negligent in not doing everything possible to win. He reminded the panel of his players running around with holes in their arms ready for their drips at half time. He said Dank was regarded as the Guru before it all blew up and everyone would have spoken to him. Sheahan then reminded everyone that Melbourne's crime is not illegal drugs but maybe not being fully frank with the AFL.

I can think of someone.
