Leigh Matthews said today he can't see what the Bombers have done wrong, that brings the game into disrepute. Clearly giving players 20 or more injections in their stomaches, not knowing what was in the injections, being unaware of possible side effects, destroying the injecting records, having secret waivers as to the injections in direct breach of AFL rules on lodging all player documents with the AFL and not controlling the administration of substances to players doesn't constitute bringing the game into disrepute according to Lethal. I know what constitutes bringing the game into disrepute, an official cracking a joke, about draft picks, in a private meeting at club offices. Yeah Lethal, that is disgusting. Worse still the joke wasn't that funny.

Jon Ralph in the sun today quotes Libba and Fev saying " yes we tanked" and giving examples. Brock never actually said we tanked. That was enough to start the ball rolling again. This is stronger language and far more concise and definite. You can absolutely guarantee, from the Fitzpatrick led Commission, that nothing will happen. If they say this was investigated, that is pathetic as we were investigated the year before the inquiry and they still did us over a year later on Brock's hint at tanking. One rule for the powerful and protected and another for the weak.

I re ran the incident about 10 times and I am pretty convinced it was deliberate. He looks and sees Strauss and then kicks upwards and connects with his face.I wasn' t shocked as I regard Brown as a filthy player. He would be in good company with Fletcher who should also go this week for a late hit. -

Pretty good effort without our forward line and Chip. Turnovers, missed shots and some dumb decisions cost us the win. Get a midfield and we will be very competitive.

I am ok with what PJ does I just object to your post. If PJ doesn't t want CC back that is his call. I just object to your post where you want CC treated like a murderer.I don' t need to get over myself, this is not about me. This is about a vicious attack on a former player/official of the club.

Are you serious? Are you suggesting we didn't try? If we had of kicked 7.3 instead of 3.7 and a few out of bounds from our set shots we would have won. Kent kicked 2.4, Byrnes Kicked 1.5, Grimes missed from 20m, Tapscott missed a couple , Fitzy missed from 20 out right in front. We also turned the ball over again horribly. Lastly our best goal chance Watts who had 2 already was then played back for the rest of the game. Did you watch the game tonight? I am positive everyone else who saw the game would agree with me. You are suggesting we didn't try because we didn't take the AFL to Court early this year. Gee, unbelievable. How can you possibly say we didn't try tonight?

You are a real keyboard hero pal. The investigation was centred around Tanking and you know it. The CC Vault comment came out in about October after the investigation was going nowhere and a certain ex employee lagged on the club, volunteering the info about CC's comment. It hadn't been discussed up until then. That was told to me by someone who read every word of the report and was involved with our defence. So CC on his own gets rid of Junior did he? Junior was 34 and had massive problems with injury and CC is the only one in the club that wants him to retire. Not the list manager, not the coach, not the assistant Coaches, only CC. Why don't you make the same remark about everyone who got rid of any good MFC player who was at the end of his career. And you know CC has got a two year payout from the AFL do you? Yes CC is a mate of mine. At least I have some. Who would want to try and do anything to help this club with supporters like you?

I suppose if I calm down and look at the performance I can say that 2-3 good mids into this side and we are very competitive. Also for those that knock Spencer, I thought he has played a couple of very nice games for us. At least with his crazy kicking style he can actually pass the ball to a team mate, something Nicholson and Byrnes will never do. Also Terlich needs to be told to give the ball off and not try to beat the field, he has gone backwards as a result. Clisby has overtaken him.

Byrnes is a total waste of space for us. Every possession is a turnover. Every shot at goal is a miss. 1.5 and several other misses that went out. I just don't get why he gets a game. If Craig wanted to win the game then he has no chance of getting the coaching gig. To leave Watts behind the ball especially in the last quarter when the Suns were out on their feet was a joke. He should have been up forward. He had already kicked two and was the only one likely to score. If anything Davis could have played further up the ground. Why do you play defensive when you are a few goals behind and there is about 12 minutes to play. I thought the idea was to win the game. I know one thing for sure, we are the worst skilled side in the AFL and probably the dumbest. The turnovers and missed set shots, gifted the game to the Suns tonight.

No I think you should be ashamed of yourself. That post is a f'n disgrace. This bloke played for the club, gave his all and came back to try and get success for us. He did his best. Was moved to the marketing side where he helped raise a lot of money and interest in the club by speaking to groups of kids at schools, supporters, possible supporters etc. He then took the fall for the club, over tanking, which he was not the only one involved. He has not complained. His career has been tarnished. His life has been affected. Everything he did, he did for his club. You want his Life Membership cancelled and you call him a disgrace. Mate YOU ARE A DISGRACE and you owe him an apology.

No we shouldn't have gone to Court as it would have been time and cost wasting, even though we would have won. As Blistering says in post 2089 we had to also consider Vlad the Vengeful. Also we actually negotiated a complete walk away, other than CC getting a paid holiday. We were found NOT GUILTY of tanking, we copped a fine, that as I said in February the AFL would eventually pay and they are. We will get $2.7-$3m from them for next year. That will pay the fine and salary payouts and leave some for the kitty. We got a smack on the hand and as that ended it, everyone was happy, except CCand DB, but we are still in the AFL good books. How will the Bombers fare in the future, if they take on the AFL?

You don't think it had anything to do with the fact that the AFL and the MFC's QC's agreed there was no evidence to prove a tanking charge and that if we were charged, the matter would end in Court, where we would win, the AFL would look stupid and then the MFC would demand the same treatment for all of the other clubs who did the same thing, do you? Then a deal was done where we were found innocent of tanking and yet fined a huge amount, that would ultimately be paid by the AFL, as will now happen.

Discussing Wilson and leaving aside the MFC for a moment, has any journalist in the history of newspapers, called for more people to lose their jobs. Most of her writing is negative and she constantly calls for people to be sacked, though not generally at the RichmondFC. All of these people have families to support, but that obviously is of no concern to her. Robinson for example told of his suicide thoughts, but again that doesn't seem to concern her. Anyone seen a piece on that? Where are her Flanagan pieces? She seems to me a woman filled with hate of others.

IMO players like Greenwood, though not necessarily him are part of the way for us to go. We need to identify some hungy, experienced, tough, skillful, committed players, who are not getting a run at their clubs, or who are not yet in the AFL system. A few of those players will add immediate improvement to the team, so that we can then be competitive and give the new and younger players a solid environment to develop in. These players may only be 2-3 year players for us, but they are vital to our immediate development as a strong team.
