  1. You are correct except, that the AFL said that Essendon was not to pay him during the suspension. If the club is paying him, via a third party, that would be a breach of obligations. I am not saying that this is happening, but the media have raised the possibility.
  2. The above is from an an Age article today. No inducements were offered that AD is aware of. So the benefits to Hird, put forward in todays Sun are false, according to AD or offered by people without his knowledge. Inducements of course are not just money. Why would Hird accept his suspension without the "inducements"? Is Hird being paid by a third party? If so for what reason and has that person any connection to the Bombers or the AFL? If there is no predetermined outcome, how can you demand punishments for wrongdoing? Interesting questions.
  3. Chapman said he had been guaranteed by Essendon that the controversy had been dealt with, and that players would no longer be affected. Read more: Paul Chapman unfazed by Essendon's supplements scandal From an Age article on Paul Chapman. Seems like the Bombers know exactly what WADA/ASADA have decided (or so they think).
  4. As a result of today's revelations the future of many key people in the AFL must be in serious doubt.
  5. Don't confuse the tanking outcome with the Essendrugs deal, they are poles apart. One is an orchestrated deal on a breach of an AFL rule that was never proved and the other is the biggest scandal to ever hit the sport that compromised the health of players and is admitted.
  6. Looks like the Essendrug saga is about to get more oxygen.
  7. Wonder if Caro will call on everyone to resign? ( Yes more sarcasm ).
  8. I actually think the whole Commission should. This whole affair is just disgusting from beginning to end.
  9. Not sure if that is a sarcastic comment, as he is a Bombers supporter.
  10. I also have a good feeling about this boy. Reading his background, he has had it hard with enormous travel and seems like a kid who is prepared to give it everything to succeed.
  11. Wait till they hit the local 7/11.
  12. Broken vases and plates?
  13. I raised this at the time Roos was being chased, as I was reading his book and it mentioned her giving the Swans players meditation advice. If it is being provided free that would alleviate a number of concerns. I would imagine Mahoney would be in charge as head of the Footy Department and it would be handled sensitively, if it didn't work out. I get the very strong feeling from the book that money would not be her motivation. Anyway I hope it helps us. To be honest I would be happy to have some advice on meditation from her, as this club has stressed me out severely, over a number of years.
  14. Then our thread would be safe and continue to flourish with all of the brilliant info and dialogue it contains.
  15. That's what got us into this topic, some moron talking to me for 15 minutes about crap.
  16. I am currently working on developing a banana based tinea cream.
  17. I'll tell you what works, forget the altitude training and just keep possession of the ball.
  18. See how the conversation deteriorates when we don't discuss bananas.
  19. I really hope the boys vote Chip into the LG. If not he has another reason to want to leave, that his team mates don't rate him.
  20. Martin and O'Meara not to mention Ablett, Bennell, Swallow etc etc etc. They will be a good team very soon.
  21. So they don't need a bicycle at the Gat.
  22. She hang around the Gat as well?
