  1. People, just because the penalty if found guilty, hasn't bred dealt this year, nothing stops it being dealt next year and harder.
  2. But he is inconsistent as despite him feeling he was fine to play he didn't again for the rest of the year. Whose fault is that?
  3. Fairly easy to work out how this story could end up this way. HL doesn't train, following on from not playing last 16 rounds. HL and Manager part ways. HL hires a Lawyer. Media conclusion= HL is going to sue the Dees.
  4. You just made that up, didn't you?
  5. I have thought all along, that the Bombers would take the travel goods, but the pundits suggest they will take the Canadian at pick 1.. GWS were desperate for the Canadian and did deals to get pick 2, thinking that would get him. My only interest early on in the draft, is to see if the Bombers spoil the GWS party. Also and this is the first time I can recall posting on this issue, but I think it is an absolute disgrace, that the Bombers get pick 1, as a result of a penalty imposed by the AFL for cheating. It is like sanctioned tanking. They should have been told, that as part of the penalty, they get the pick at the position they were at, when it was imposed, which would be about mid first round. The result is that a cheating club prospers, by getting access to the best player in the country and further the best player left in each round. Unbelievable except for an organization like the AFL.
  6. Actually he is an Industrial Relations/Employment Lawyer.
  7. You have forgotten one thing, GWS have the right to say they are innocent, whether they are or not. The AFL negotiated a deal with the individuals and thought that the Club would follow suit. At the death knock they refused. That means any hearing of the issue will take place after the draft and this year's picks are kept. I am very confident that the AFL is not happy about this and because of all the flack about how much they have helped the Giants, wanted to show the other clubs that they were now just another club. The AFL will, if they find GWS guilty, will hit them harder than the proposed deal would have.
  8. Also the grass is cut north/south on Gosch's paddock and he prefers it cut east/west.
  9. He is allergic to the car exhaust fumes from Punt Road.
  10. Or getting legal advice to help you get the best deal.
  11. His dad has stretched a lot more than that.
  12. Which is his right.
  13. Yes! I think the AFL are not pleased with the Giants. They wanted to impose a penalty to show the other clubs that they are not their darlings. The Giants refused to play ball. The AFL will do now what they do best , exact revenge. That said, the Giants are in such a strong talent position, that no penalty of a few lost picks will hurt them. They will merely trade a couple of excess players for picks, to replace those lost.
  14. The Giants refused to do a deal with the AFL, which included losing 2016 picks and have elected to fight the charge. I think you will see the AFL's annoyance reflected in a heavier penalty, stripping 2017 picks. Unfortunately it will not affect the Giants, with their warehouse of talent, including an excess available to be traded again, to get more good picks.
  15. It may be too late for that. We could certainly uplift a player and take another Category B Rookie though.
  16. At least that is a good side to it.
  17. That would be the Counterclaim.
  18. I think that is what you are seeing.
  19. What hand cream do you you use, your fingers are so silky smooth?
  20. No, I am just struggling to enthuse about 2 late picks, as our only draft booty from 2016.
  21. Thought I would get in early as I would probably forget it tomorrow as I don't really care. Thursday 1- I know nothing.
  22. Gee, Jason Taylor, after a year's work, gets to pick 2 players late in the draft and then a rookie or two.
  23. They did.
  24. 2, picture man and the Legend.
