Also these blokes who have to do it the hard way, are generally very determined to succeed and have more developed bodies. -

I like that. Someone posted that we are only going to use 2 of our 3 Rookie picks. If HL retires, we will then have a space on the main and rookie lists. I wonder what is in their thinking.
-
Just when I am getting interested in the draft, or the Rookie draft, to be more precise, with 3 picks, I hear we will only be using 2 of them.
-
It sounds like he is going to leave both his clubs on bad terms. Coincidence?

Shifter Sheahan on Fox Draft show, said he was very hard at the ball and with some mongrel in him, as well as a radar for the big sticks. He is our smokie. Might be a chance. Sounds like he is a harder and nastier JKH. -

As the pick got near, I thought we would take Darcy Cameron for Ruck depth. We would have to be certainties to take a Ruckman with one of our Rookie picks. As for Hannan, good luck to him. -
I believe AFL Rule 27 (D) provides heavy sanctions for "taking the pizz".

I am not kidding my self, I am merely accepting what we have been told by the various club recruiters and media gurus, that this years draft is not a great one. Second, it is your contention that the players drafted by GWS this year, will get them in the 2017 GF. Interesting.

3 words, first word, two syllables, first syllable ...

Won't happen. It would give GWS the Canadian.

Maybe they are mute.

To be fair it does take time to schedule a hearing, set up the tribunal to hear it, formulate the charges, prepare your case and interview all witnesses, book Counsel, have them prepare the Defence, interview witnesses and ensure their availability, etc.
-
Not arguing that. My argument is that once it was out, the AFL wanted to do a deal and GWS refused and now the AFL has to stand up to them. BTW, you have to love the argument of GWS. We are innocent, because the officials went rogue. In other words they acted against the club's guidelines. If that Defence works, the Bombers will be a trifle unhappy. It would mean you could never hold an organization accountable, as you just blame the individual for doing the wrong thing. The AFL will laugh at that defence. BTW, the MFC never authorized CC to make that joke in the vault either. It was a rogue joke. But we did a deal.
-
But all the recruiters told us this wasn't a great draft and we traded away picks to get players earlier Also the rumoured lost picks would have been 15 and 37. They probably could have negotiated that. They still had pick 2 and a lot later on, to use as points.
-
I think the AFL got caught up negotiating with the individuals and thought the club would also toe the line. Then there wasn't time to have a full hearing and allow parties to prepare.

People, just because the penalty if found guilty, hasn't bred dealt this year, nothing stops it being dealt next year and harder.
