I hope I get a cut out of the use of our likeness.

I am now seriously considering something like your Avatar logo @Demonland  - would you have any issue with me using it?

If not, my only issue would be that i would like to add some blue ( "royal" 80s TV / current away) - ideally i'd put the little guy in a guernsey..could you (or anyone reading) assist with an edit to the graphic? (Happy to pay for your services of course).

I’ll be getting the one on the left, ‘M’ and ‘C’ in navy, the ‘F’ in red, and with a slightly bigger ‘red yolk’ below the bottom of the ‘C’ as per the newer logo on right. Getting on left calf.

    I know, classy.

I'm doing the something similar...unsure finer details at this point...inspired by these and also the MCC version (so some variation/combination of these ideas). I have no calves so it will be inside forearm i think :)

I just heard on the news that the MCG is now an exposure site. It seems to be related to the Geelong vs. Carlton match. I can’t find anything online to this effect so I hope I’ve misheard.

No, you heard right. Level 2, MCC Cats v Blues is a T2 exposure site (get tested & isolate)

I keep getting mixed up which is which. Yelling out like a fool for the wrong one. They are so similar although I think Langers is a little smoother in his running and Jaydn  a bit more frantic.  Love them both and so pleased for Jayden how he is playing because at one stage he looked like he wouldn't be at the Club for much longer.

I hear you. I think Jayden might be a tad quicker & taller - unsure about speed. They really add a touch of magic when they get going.

I just received an email from the club. Sale starts at 1:00 for priority 1 members.
I thought it was odd that I have 3 barcodes this round. I normally only get one.

Did you book on behalf of others recently? I did that for the GWS game and now also have multiple barcodes...I don't recognise any of them other than mine though. Do they change? Is a bit odd...

OOOOHHH just saw the above from DC - makes sense.

My analysis was designed to refute the consensus view that Brown was a key reason we won.

I don't know where anyone said that FT. He did undoubtedly change the dynamics however.

No one thinks that having Brown in the forward line has led to the mids kicking into the forwards with more confidence?  The difference between this week and last week against GWS was chalk and cheese.

    Absolutely right.

    Quote

The 28-year-old failed to hit the scoreboard but provided a valuable hit-up target across half-forward with five of his 10 disposals coming in the second term as Melbourne went on a barnstorming run. The Demons targeted Tom McDonald nine times inside forward 50, ahead of Brown (eight), Max Gawn (three) and Luke Jackson (two).

    Above observation is from  https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/974497/round-17-report-demons-snap-up-win-in-sa

BB clearly adds another dimension to forward line.

Anyone who judges Brown purely on goals kicked doesn’t understand modern footy. It’s so much more about presenting opportunities to bring the ball to ground. Is it any wonder Kossi had his best game for a month last night? Or that Tmac actually could take marks on the lead rather than trying to beat 18 opponents?
For a team so reliant on structures, the mind boggles that fans can’t see how his presence completely changes our structure for the better.

Absolutely agree Jaded. "Playing a role" means exactly that. I'm less worried about fans that don't see it and more worried about why neither Weid or BB played the last 2 weeks. I need to get over it, obviously, but sheesh.

There is no stat for that. BTW were Demonlanders asking the same question when Weideman was in the side?

    Brown was ok. Not good.

I know, that was kind of my point...(sorry for the facetious post).

I think the difference to the forward line was stark - he stirs things up, something I haven't seen from Weid. Niether does Weid have the career scorecard that BB has - which I believe weighs on defenders. Stats do NOT tell the story here.

Since Weid didn't play for the past 2 weeks either, I think that comparison is moot anyway.

On your other point, I absolutely agree that the midfield lifted. Was great to see.

Don't mistake correlation and causation. Our forward line worked well last night because we got out the back of the Port press and Petracca, Kossie and TMac starred.

Brown was OK. Not good, but not poor. He had zero goals, 10 possessions and just 3 score involvements. These are not the numbers of a good game for a full forward. He would have had a decent game if he had have held on to the two marks (which both could have been paid) and kicked the snap in the second quarter.

Also, Brown replaced Sparrow, who had a big impact against Essendon and he also kicked a goal against GWS.

Do you have a stat for how many times he drew key defenders?

his defensive work is first class puts pressure on which cant be is not seen, small forwards play close to goal thats their job

Just watched his highlights package on Facey...it's impressive.  Tackling pressure inside 50 is as you say, first class.

My recollection from in the seats last week is of him being outsized on the wing on too many occasions, but his intensity was still right up there.
