  1. If they knew it was an "assisted" investigation, what limits did they seek to put on the level of assistance they could provide? None.
  2. WJ, does the AFL knowing or not have any bearing on the case or is it purely a distraction?
  3. We can only hope Trengove finds love at the Commonwealth games. I hope he attends the women's 100m final after party...
  4. I would love to have him in the red and blue. But just a thought...If he came to use who's spot in the backline does he take? Grimes? Then what do we do with our captain?
  5. Geez I hope you didn't give that person your credit card details!
  6. Thompson lost me after the cancer comments. He was at Essendon in 2012 so I am not sure I want him around our players.
  7. Hi avg 2 tackles per game might be what's keeping him our...
  8. Had to laugh at the Vince comment...well played.
  9. We are being killed in every aspect of the game.
  10. Of course they are. They have a mandate to bring drug cheats to account.
  11. Following those comments I hope Thompson comes no where near our club. I have lost all respect for the man.
  12. Surprising then that he was a grand finalist midfield coach. Even more surprising that Ross Lyon would employ someone like that. Doesn't strike me as the type that suffers fools too well.
  13. I would think the formula applied would take in more than just the first years salary...ie the players age, length of contract, total value ect.
  14. If players allowed themselves to be injected with unmarked vials by off site randoms then they have really placed themselves in a very vulnerable position. How Dr Reid still has a medical licence is beyond me.
  15. Stephen Dank suspected of forgery by pharmacist, doctor in Essendon supplements scandal
  16. What we do know is that the players placed themselves in a VERY vulnerable situation to improve their performance. My experience with injections is that I have them done with a medical professional who shows me the label which includes the name of the drug and the expiry date and it goes down on my medical record. As a professional athlete bound by a drug code it is staggering that this approach was not taken. I accept the greyness around the issue, the pressure to do the team thing and have empathy for the players but they sought to gain an edge in performance over their rivals and took a number of careless risks to do so. They are now paying the price for those risks and if they can't tell what they have put into their bodies they have some responsibility for that.
  17. Only until the 11th of July. So the case will not be heard only the directions hearing. Not sure how much additional information they will gather from that?
  18. Agreed they are trying to reverse the process by seeing the evidence first. That's not how it works but good luck to them for trying. You would think that any concessions ASADA make between now and when the players respond it would impact the discounts on offer. In any case the players are delaying their decision until the latest possible moment to see what transpires and exploring all options, fair enough. ASADA may have made a mistake in the original agreement with the AFL for the joint investigation but that was corrected in week 2 of a 6 month process. Surely they can't claim to rely on the original agreement as a basis for their cooperation over that whole period?
  19. Saty, did you notice them practice any attacking plays?
