  1. Mitch Wallis is completely underwhelming. Nothing like Tyson.
  2. I met Robbie at a Dees game in Darwin last year. What a great man willing to chat to the fans. Loved the Dees. Glad I got to tell him that he is the reason I follow the Dees. RIP
  3. And the Hawks get to stay up the top for ever...
  4. News flash, Clark will be comfortably in their 22, so we should expect compensation that is also comfortably in their 22.
  5. Don't underestimate what losing Dangerfield might mean to a club like Adelaide.
  6. Pick 2, 3, and 21 For Dangerfield, pick 10 and pick 29. Then Pies want to seperate the Clark/Harry deal and we agree Harry is a mid second round pick. Pick 29 for Harry.
  7. You have to take into account that free agency was introduced at a time that the AFL removed the priority pick and two new teams dominated the draft. It has been a perfect storm for bottom clubs like ours.
  8. This likely ties up Ports first pick and is good news for our hopes of landing Billy in the third round.
  9. Looking for Mitch in a hilux doing a lap around the MCG
  10. Pick 12 should be enough. Isn't that what they gave us for Scott Thompson?
  11. The beams situation doesn't seem good for our chase for Dangerfield. Bring the Pies right into the equation and it's not only us who can satisfy both the Crows and Patty.
  12. Frawley ain't worth nothing either. A top 4 team picking him up for nothing isn't just assistance, it's being KOTD.
  13. Possible they may defer a decision until their next meeting. Anyone know how often they meet?
  14. Did HL meet Roos around the time MC met the Pies? Any chance this was a mutual arrangement?
  15. Go and give yourself an uppercut.
  16. He also seems to forget they were trying to lowball the Lions which caused the delay that allowed us to pounce. So they equally had their chance to get him.
  17. One thing in the back of my mind is that his contract was heavily front loaded, meaning he has already been paid the majority of the value from it. The remaining year is worth very little by comparison. Renegotiating a new contract could be financially rewarding. Melbourne have now settled this without getting the value for 2015 at the reduced rate. This would make it difficult for us to be inclined to pay a significant amount for 2015 because we paid most of the value for it in the earlier years. We did the right thing by Mitch in settling this. A new club would not be burdened by this and more comfortable offering good dollars for his services. I look mostly at his manager here but this is a case of double dipping with the MFC potentially getting screwed. If we keep him we have to renegotiate his contract and no doubt lose the value we should have in 2015 for pre paying the earlier years. Perhaps with the risk that surrounds him now big dollars might not be forthcoming...but I wouldn't be surprised if other clubs offers are more attractive than ours because it might be difficult for us to justify paying more than our original outlay for that year particularly given we may have already paid part of that year out.
  18. Your apartment does not smell of rich mahogany?
  19. Josh M's comments sounded a lot like a blindsided MFC.
  20. That's the cheats season over...let the exodus begin...
