Surely his form in the VFL has been good enough, Yze can pinch hit in the midfield (where he is a former All Australian), play off a half back and set up defensive rebounds and kick goals from a forward pocket. I think it is just counter productive to play players like Bartram, Bode and Bell whose form has not warranted a game for MFC. You pick the team on form. Full stop. Sub issues like priority draft picks, Yze's salary and "blooding" young players are the reason he is not playing but these just should not be considered. Basically I like it when Melbourne wins, and that is more likely when Yze is playing! Good Luck Adem, a 300 game great - you deserve to be.

Nik Nat for me, there is no way that someone with that size and athletic ability couldn't be developed into an Adam Goodes or Buddy Franklin. I would love to see him take marks like Watts though. Rich strikes me as a bit of a Dylan Smith (former pick 6 who had stints at Freo and Nth). Nik Nat also speaks well and appears to have a good head on his shoulders.

I was a little surprised by the 41k odd crowd. I sat in the MCC, second level centre wing; man they are good seats! I have the MFC membership in addition to the MCC membership. To my left was like all dees red and blue in the old olympic stand area and then to my right in the ponsford was like all Hawks. I think one of the other stories coming from the crowd was from a Hawthorn perspective with the club on top of the ladder, flying and a serious flag threat how come they can't get more than 20 - 25k hawks fans there? God it was a good game and I enjoyed seeing the boys give a bit.

yeah i was there; olympic stand. I have seen all 3 MCG pastings this year. The crowd was about 14:9 Kangas fans: Dees Fans ratio. Kangaroos are K I Kidding themselves if they think they have 30k passionate members ready to tip cash into the club. I think we should absorb them in some sort of corporate takeover and put Gibson, Boomer, Corey Jones and Daniel Wells etc into our side. Davey was good. Miller has improved from a very low base on his 2007 form. Sylvia is just travelling but the talent is there and it just needs to be harnessed. The game plan stinks. The forward line don't know when to present because "THE GAMEPLAN" requires a handball to someone under pressure or a poorly executed handball and then when all the leads have gone it is a short kick to a contest. The amount of times I said "promising build up" with utter sarcasm was a worry. I think the club needs to realise that they are well and truly past the 11 - 1 premership clock window and hopefully the ageing stars will do the right thing towards the end of the year. Although I will be disappointed that Yze will not get to 300 games. I can't wait 4 BATE GO DEES!
