  1. Thanks - and btw, I was watching the game moving through a myriad of emotions that culminated in maniacal laughter at the theatre that was unfolding.
  2. No, there was just a chat about an incident that involved a player who's been around for a while and hasn't really developed. I suppose that there will be plenty of time to discuss the list at the end of the year.
  3. Please get rid of that apostrophe...it's soooo wrong.
  4. True - but why does he get a game? He's not the future...how much proof does the FD need that he's NQR?
  5. Isn't he indicative of a list of players that looked they were going to 'develop' and they've gone backwards?
  6. Building up an investment property portfolio? Penrith next?
  7. That's what I felt - they were bullied and humiliated... Wouldn't have happened in Northey's day.
  8. Really? I thought the team were dreadful - how many years do we need to harden up bodies? Bate, Dunn, Moloney, Sylvia, Frawley, Garland and Jamar aren't exactly 90 pound weaklings.... Not good enough, lack of game plan or execution thereof and intimidated by a better team.
  9. No worries, I appreciate your opinion and your comments. I think we're all desperate at what's unfolding at the moment. I, for one, hope he plays an absolute blinder on Sunday.
  10. OK - now we're talking, rather than the belittling garnish at the end of every post. Sylvio was from a bygone era and I was talking about a footballer who signed without fanfare today. I suppose most of my thoughts are jealously emotive as other (top) players sign with their clubs without too much haggling......
  11. Intrinsically, EVERY supporter always got that feeling that he wasn't going anywhere, as opposed to TS. Could you please not resort to sarcasm? Let's just talk footy (or transfers)
  12. This goes to prove that Frawley's committed to a cause.
  13. Cyril Rioli signed without any fanfare......
  14. You don't think that Brad Green will improve as a leader? He always goes hard....
  15. Love this match up, HT. Burgoyne killed us last time as he went in as a forward and there was no real match up for him. Col's stronger body will worry Burgoyne and The General will take care of Suckling, running hard to kick a couple. With the Hawks, they love to chip and chip and chip - if the boys can cause a turn over with direct and residual pressure, the turn over will cause (should cause) free players in the corridor... They cannot allow themselves to be intimidated. Hawks niggle, punch, scrag, bump, unsettle and the team needs to do the same.
  16. If TS wants to be mercenary, why can't the Club? Are you crying that Brock Mclean left for Jordy Gysberts? Or TJ for Grimes? This is leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouth and I have been bouyed by this article after reading about a 'superdraft'. GWS enjoy your deal, welcome Mr O'Meara.
  17. There was this unctuous smugness that was very punchable. He said that Silvagni was in charge of the list, Sheedy was the coach, but Choco Williams was 'on the ground' so to speak. He also told all the footy clubs to 'get over it' (quote) and they'd talk to and sign up whoever they wanted. The plan was to win a premiership by 2015/2016.
  18. You're right - I'm just disappointed that we haven't sighted all the 'qualities' of this 'fine' young man. It's still just footy and he's still just a footballer and everyone will move on.
  19. Enough's enough - just go and we can all get some sleep. It's only footy.
  20. I reckon Tom Scully would have loved to join the Tigers - in fact, he said so in an interview before he was drafted. I thought (at the time) that he was a bit of an upstart. Give me Jack Trengove any day. There, I've said it!
  21. Not so sure about that - I saw him picking himself out of a pack, clutching his knee....
  22. Cats for mine - I reckon they're slowing down and they're ripe for a loss. It'll be the biggest upset since Dandy Andy won the Australian Cup or Keating's election win in 1993 or Graham Teasdale winning a Brownlow medal......
  23. KB reported that he ran into a prominent businessman last night at the soccer. This businessman was also a very influential Dees supporter. When quizzed by KB, the call was...'we've got too many other good players to worry about, BUT we're all about MTM.....' When translated the acronym stands for MALTHOUSE TO MELBOURNE. Interesting....the thought is that Malthouse will generate his own salary by the number of new members he would attract. Thoughts?
