Every time I say 'that' name, my tongue blisters...shut up, you might say, that's fair.
Let's develop our youngsters AND culture under Neeld - as Master Demon said, the Coach could be hanging on to a few picks to 'feel' the place for a year or two.
Trade week is a massive huff 'n' puff where supporters become critical of their clubs who can't do this deal or can't do that deal.....
It's a highly competitive comp and NO club is going to give ANY club a leg-up towards a premiership window.
The few bottom six change colours and the successful club does some chest beating, ala Hawthorn. Big deal...give me the draft any day.
Hardness instilled into a playing group? Not sure about that. The intrinsic desire to compete and seek out the contest can't always be coached. Tapscott loves the contest.
True, but his insatiable desire for the contest will always hold him in good stead. He can work on his running capacity and agility, but his kicking skills, especially, are elite.
You're right, you've got to trade something good to get something good. Tapscott is a great kick and will become an elite hard defender in the mould of Glass. I hope the FD never consider this trade.
Having said that, didn't 5AA start a campaign (Ricutto?) to get Jamar to Adelaide, back in July?
I love the tone and optimism of this post, but do you think it'll really happen? Is Dangerfield that besotted with Craig? Won't he hang around to see how the new coach works out?
Pick 12 + Warnock??
Yes....but. There was a fairly seductive draft pick a couple of years ago who espoused strong family values, one - club player, blah, blah blah.
Methinks there was forked tongue there....
You and I both know that there were several worthwhile suitors - the Club got it wrong with Bailey as a strategist, but got it right as a media performer and a good citizen.
WYL, I understand where you're coming from, but at the end of the day, coaches are judged on their win/loss ratio. There were so 'little' things he could have got right, but he was too unaware.
