  1. I reckon Leigh Brown is spruiking the party line or he'll go blind.
  2. I was referring to your last bit about the 'warmth' and 'safety' of our screens, but I didn't know how to isolate that part of your comment.
  3. Please be mindful that we're supporters and we're involved financially, emotionally and spiritually. This is their job - that's what they do. They are privileged and part of a national culture. Time they stood up.
  4. No Stef Martin OR Morton. Once's not a footballer's boot studder and the other is scared of the Easter bunny.
  5. I reckon Ricky Pettard is at the crossroads. He will need to get fitter and go hard in the forward press. Like most players on our list, he's still learning this craft and positioning, but it doesn't preclude him from the chase and tackle. Something, that I feel, has dropped away in the last couple of years.
  6. Morton must never play again - he doesn't even have a role.
  7. Why would Morton hold his spot?
  8. I could never smash my AWA trannie.......what is wrong with you???
  9. Could we please change the terminology to a more acceptable sub-text? 'List Management'
  10. There's a chance he'll gather 80 touches in his 1st game - one of my absolute faves. Played two magnificent final games that stick in my mind.....one against Carlton and the other against the Crows. Amazing.
  11. Agree - like you and I have said before WYL, I hope this Club has one more rebuild left.
  12. Would it be a good thing or a bad thing if Malthouse becomes more involved with this club?? Thoughts??
  13. Sorry, I can't follow your reference? Money with tackling?
  14. Maybe - but so is one-on-one, tackling, competing, contesting. And, no, you're right, I haven't moved on. I want the toughest team in the comp, not players who avoid the physicality.
  15. Watched a bit of the GWS - West Coast game......dare I say it? You-know-who was outstanding. His running ability and fitness is amazing.
  16. Bulldogs and Bombers? Really? Serious? Honestly, at the moment, it looks like a winless year and I include GWS in that as well.
  17. Don't forget Kieran Harper - went to the same school as Blease, followed the same path (albeit didn't break his leg) yet his intensity is so.....feral.
  18. Tough message, WYL and very relevant. Having said that, their coach said 'The players needed to stand up - enough talk' Btw, Scully played well today
  19. I've just watched this game and noticed the physicality of the game plan.....EVERY player lives for contact and if they don't go hard enough, they're stared down by their teammates. The Dees have to dispel their bruise free footy tag and wake up. We might not win any games this year, but please enjoy the contest and COMPETE. I reminisced for a moment that I was watching the Dees under Northey....tough, uncompromising, no quarter asked, none given. For all of you who say the game's moved on, no, not really. The need to compete is still there.
  20. Scully looked good today.
  21. I really don't know what to say.....as far as I can ascertain, the boundary stuff worked for the Pies, as they had leaders and magnificent kicks of the footy to take it upon themselves to bring the ball back into the corridor. Think Didak, Pendlebury, Swan, Thomas, et al. They were confident to centre the ball into a Cloke or Dawes. Unfortunately, none of our players have the confidence to do this and they're not running hard enough to take on that responsibility.
  22. Don't worry, we'll work them back into form. We'll make their worst spuds look like Judd.
  23. Stef Martin is the 2nd worst player on the list.....you can shuffle this any way you want.
  24. Out - Going to the footy In - Golf @ Ringwood
  25. Needs to watch that left foot passing.........doesn't always hit his target. Magnificent hands - best mark I've seen for a while.
