This could not have been better put. Congratulations to Stan Grant with whose views I don't always agree but he has it the mark with this one.

There seems to be a belief that if a thread is opened under a particular heading this gives the poster licence to post anything they want about that subject. Not true around here (see above). Here's the second item ... Acts of racial, political or religious abuse Stereotyping particular aspects of a person's appearance or behaviour comes clearly under the definition of such abuse. You should be aware of this especially when making comment on sensitive subjects.

Wayne Milera is an interesting prospect. He's had a few great games recently for Central Districts in the SANFL who bowed out of the finals at the weekend.

Just out of interest, apart from the comments attributed to Caro and those of an inebriated Generation Dee, has there been any confirmation from elsewhere that Port Adelaide is putting Hartlett up for trade bait?
-
You may be so bold. The Melbourne Demons are part of a competition of 18 clubs so it's appropriate to discuss them as part of the competition just as we have discussed issues such as the Essendon drug scandal here. In regard to the latter, I don't recall anyone arguing for a separate board although it might have happened.

I am not going to allow this conversation to be dictated to by bigots. This thread was opened as a tribute to a great Australian and a great footballer. Don't bother posting if you intend to sink into the mire as LG mentioned above. If you do, it could well be your last post here.

Not a priority but if he is going to be a part of a trade then it won't happen (or at least it won't become public) for a good 3 - 4 weeks yet.

If the stories are true about the Suns being after a Melbourne player (Howe is one mentioned in speculation) then it gives a nice ring to the possibility of a three way swap with draft picks exchanged to even things up. It could happen.

Said to be on the outer at Port Adelaide and according to Caro, the Crows and the Denons are interested. Dead set, unless there's something wrong with him physically (or mentally), I would be disappointed if we didn't chase him hard.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Whispering_Jack replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
There are plenty of individual examples that might prove the point about NQR recycled players wrong but the one given above was a virtual across the board scenario which wouldn't appeal to me. -

Delistings/trades at end of the season

I'd like to think that our list management team can achieve a much better outcome than that. -
Agree on Hardwick. He's an interesting player - a real X factor with boundless possibilities if handled well. His marking is very good for someone under 6 feet tall. Not sure if he's the type of player who fits the Roos mould.

Oaks easily in the end which means that although the Vic Country clubs dominated throughout the season, suburban neigbours Eastern Ranges and Oakleigh Chargers will play off in next weekend's grand final. North Ballarat Rebels 3.0 5.4 7.7 8.9 (57) Oakleigh Chargers 2.3 3.4 8.7 13.11 (89) GOALS: North Ballarat Rebels: Cowan 2 Hopper 2 Rioli Johnston Korewha Taurau Oakleigh Chargers: Phillips 3 Phillips 2 Thompson 2 Crocker 2 Answerth McLarty Johnstone Adduci BEST: North Ballarat Rebels: Hopper Eades Cowan Lloyd Webster Templeton Oakleigh Chargers: Answerth Byrne-Jones Pearce Johnstone Whitehead Duman
-
Three quarter time Chargers lead by a goal.
-
At half time North Ballarat has increased its lead to 2 goals.
-
North Ballarat Rebels 3.0.18 lead the inaccurate Oakleigh Chargers 2.3.15 at quarter time in the second game.
-
And that's it - a 28 point win to the Ranges (Christian Petracca's team) which last won the flag in 2013. Dandenong Stingrays 2.0 3.3 3.5 5.7 (37) Eastern Ranges 3.3 6.6 7.12 8.17 (65) GOALS: Dandenong Stingrays: Weitering 2 Mutimer Collins Gladman Eastern Ranges: Brown 3 Stephenson 3 Clarke Hardwick BEST: Dandenong Stingrays: Capiron Weitering Rice Williams McKay Collins Eastern Ranges: Clarke Cotte Brolic Keppel Brown Batty
-
Ryan Clarke ices the game with a goal to put the game beyond the Stingrays.
-
And just to prove why he's the main contender for the #1 pick, Weitering is moved to full forward and kicks two quick goals early I the final quarter.
-
Another upset looming with the Eastern Ranges 31 points ahead at 3/4 time. The Ranges kicked the only goal for the term and both teams were inaccurate. The Stingrays would have been in far worse strife without Weitering and Collins in defence.
-
Half time and Eastern Ranges 6.6.42 lead Dandenong Stingrays 3.3.21. Clarke still accumulating possessions and Callum Brown has three goals. Lovett getting a few touches.
