I agree with Clayton stepping back, it’s clear he’s got things to work through still. I am more curious on the clubs plan with him moving forward… He’s playing ok, not at all to his best though. He isn’t worth the capital he was, and I’d argue he’s not even an upper tier player anymore, probably somewhere in the middle. Will the club be trying to move him on to get in other players? If so, what’s he worth and what will they get? The alternative is that they hold him, pray he turns good, and put up with the absences and relatively poor performances. Either way, I don’t envy the club and their decisions surrounding Clayton, which really is a shame. He’s always been one of my favorites.

What are their roles? Couldn’t find anything but their height and clubs. Fingers crossed a FF?

I’d be curious to see Sestan. I’ve not thought much of our other subs ie; Laurie/Woewodin or others. My thought is that Sharp is only getting game time due to his speed and the gameplay turning to speed and running through the middle, like other teams are doing.

Whilst I am not in denial that Oliver is not his A grade best self, he still is getting a fair few touches per game. who will they replace him with?

Good luck to him! Hopefully he’s a great new addition and can bring some well required good change to the club. I believe it’s a good idea to have fresh eyes and a different perspective, surely it helps!

Laughed at that, opening line by interviewer on the lines of “you were a late contender”. Was a nice drive by 😂 by way of pointing out he was certainly not their first choice.

I’m not suggesting that, I am stating that they have rucks loafing around, who work hard but Max smashes them. my concern is we won’t find anything close to him or his output. Don’t disagree with you, my question is purely on who will they fill his shoes with? Our backups are not fantastic.

This thread may exist somewhere; I’d argue big Max is the best player we have, as well as the most consistent and to top it off, an exceptional leader. He is playing top notch footy still but owing to how tough his role is on the body, won’t have too much longer to go. What is the plan to replace him? There will be many holes in many area across the ground. Is there anyone that will come close to Big Max?

I think finals isn’t impossible, but even if we scraped in, we would be out in straight sets again.
