If he was unhappy this year it’s only gonna be worse next year when he’s their 5/6 string mid and is locked in the half forward with trac playing the exact same role.

Don’t get me wrong I’m being blindly optimistic but I don’t understand why everyone thinks we have no chance next year. (outside of a capital standpoint) it’s been stated multiple times Bailey is open to any club. We’ve been keen on him since his draft year, he’s stated he’d love to play under king, he has connections with many people within the club as well as the hour drive from Casey to Moe. going to a club like Hawthorn he’s gonna find himself in the same position he’s currently in at the suns. Playing behind 3 or 4 different mids. Carlton have zero chance next year being all tied up in the draft, would he really want to go to Collingwood who are about to fall off a cliff? Again it’s blind optimism but the way I see it, he walks straight into our best 22 in a starting mid/half-foward role being a key figure and playing alongside our young core to rocket up back up the ladder. I have faith and I think more people should too.

It allows rivers to go in as a full time mid, kozzy more time in the middle, any of the young boys (leb, kolt, harves or even Lindsay) proper midfield time or better yet Humphrey if that does happen. They haven’t had a player of tracs quality since gaz junior. It’s not only from an on field perspective that he makes them better with a fresh start, he brings soooo much attention with his cheffing hustle and grows both their club and the game in Queensland. They either cough up Humphrey now or he forces a trade next year whether it be us or another vic club. They’re only delaying the inevitable with all of his family issues which keep coming up.

GWS? I haven’t seen any of that at all whatever the case is I cannot wait to have trac out of the club, absolute snake he is. I can’t believe where we are at with him. He was my favourite and the reason I fell in love with footy again after growing up through the neeld and Bailey era (I’m only 22 yes). It makes me so sad it’s turned out this way but at the same time what do you do? Get him and Clarry out and have a total reset and rebuild around the young kids and hopefully Humphrey if all goes well.

I’ve said it literally from the beginning of this thread, this one’s gonna go down to the deadline like all trades involving a big name star. Whatever the deal ends up being if it does happen its gonna all revolve around hump for trac.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong or tell me im an [censored] if I’m being one but I think it’s [censored] hilarious that trac kicked up a fuss about Clarry last year and wanted him gone, but he’s now going up to the suns and is gonna have to deal with Jamarra’s off field antics.
