  1. As we all know though, noone can predict the future. Lachie Neale pick 58, Zach Merret pick 36. There will be a gun in this batch and it may not be the early picks. Lest we forget poor Billings who we just delisted or Watts who we traded and all the other super early draft talent that doesn't work out. We were lucky with Tracc, Oliver, Salem and Gus. All of those early picks turned out to be useful or better. I'd like to see some stats on how many top ten picks actually go on to be top 20 or even top 50 players in the comp. I'm thinking it would be under 50%. Maybe someone can help me out with that.
  2. Yeah I was thinking Collingwood might be a fair bet. They will be backing themselves for 2026, but I reckon they will fall and could yield pick 7 or 8 for us in next years draft which would be better than this years.
  3. Thoughts on giving pick 7 and 37 to WC or even Richmond for a future 1st? Would they be into that? Might be worth trying to invest one of our 1st's and pick 37 to get into next years first round. We won't be challenging for a while and if it means we can take one in the 1st round this year and three in the first round next year, it makes sense. Not sure if anyone would go for it. Maybe we could also chuck in a future 2nd?
  4. Maybe. I just think Max, Lever, Viney, Melksham and now Mihochek - there is enough experience on each line to help with promising younguns. If we got 7 and 8 for tracc - or better, Humphrey - we'd have a really young list profile that could set us up for a crack in 3 or 4 year's time.
  5. We are in a rebuild folks. Whether it's Humphrey or not, we need to get rid of Tracc and Olly. Should have done so last year. We aint contending now. Let's just take them to market.
  6. He might mean jump as one does in a ruck contest - so it kind of does work literally.
  7. I'm more interested in the human drama in the kitchen. Telling Green to leave etc.
  8. Could someone please provide a transcript of the Caroline Wilson article in The Age today?
  9. I have been reading these posts for the last 6 months occasionally - and then frequently - and I have finally decided to join in. I've been a Demons supporter from 2016. I'm originally from NSW and have lived here for 15 years and started to get into footy down here. I fell hard!!! I've found this forum a real pick me up as I've been away from home for the last 6 months. Looking at it from the outside, I've always found GW to be the glue keeping everyone together. I'm glad she's back and I look forward to more of her reports as I love them. I also love everyone's passion on here. Pleased to meet you all!
