  1. Agree. Most interesting is where the real little blokes go. Mosquito fleet might be in vogue. Jack Higgins, Spargo, Fogarty, Miers, Daniels and Moore. Think Melbourne will go needs first and the pick the best available of these guys.
  2. First year out of the AFL you go where the money is. SANFL and WAFL generally pay more than VFL.
  3. I fear what another Ling from Geelong would do to the dressing room. Obvious, cliche-ridden ramblings. Constant regurgitation of meaningless stats, mangling of the English language... For our boys mental health lets not draft Ling!
  4. Getting in 21 year old AA squad members aint easy. But we've pulled it off. Kudos to all concerned. Personally, I like tough kents coming into the team with leadership qualities. Out with soft xocks that don't go when they should. In with the natural born winners that get going from the start.
  5. Anyone see a trend in Goodwin's modus operandi? Guys who can handle themselves physically. Melksham, Johnstone and Lever are very handy boxers. Piggy Hibberd doesn't back away from anyone... Out with the soft c***s and in with the tough bar stewards!
  6. Not having been drafted at 18 probably means he can build himself up in an AFL environment. What is great is his marking and kicking ability. He made a few AFL-listed guys look second rate this season. He won't shirk it either despite the skinny build. I'd draft with a third or fourth rounder.
  7. Tommy was a great character. Passionate South Melbourne Cricket Club fan and aficionado of all sport, especially Aussie Rules and cricket. The ladies at SMCC would make him a special afternoon tea each match. There he'd relive stories to anyone that would listen. A brilliant, engaging storyteller. Always remember him saying Jack Mueller was the best footballer he ever saw. Interesting choice given that he had watched football for over half a century and saw the likes of Coleman, Baldock, Whitten, Barassi, Skilton, Blight and Matthews.
  8. Not for me. Chip-scab possessions. Little hurt factor. Had a great last two weeks but has been ordinary for large parts of this year. Want my outside mids to be line breakers with genuine toe. Prefer likes of Kelly and Whitfield if giving out first round picks.
  9. Along with Jakovich the most exciting footballer we had for the past 40-odd years.
  10. Really? Your definition of ordinary is ordinary. Equal best ranked player for the Swans at the moment. Goes hard, great tackler and a line breaker.
  11. McCartin is nowhere near fit enough at the moment to play AFL.
  12. Crazy that Spargo can go to GWS. Dead set gun.
  13. Like as a second rounder. Has a bit of mongrel in him which will be welcomed. Now find me a second ruck and pacy mid in the mould of Isaac Smith and I'll be happy.
  14. So Michael Voss like it's not funny!
  15. ''Inside'' midfielder? Conjures up images of Prisoner.
