Training Ground?
Move some VFL/AFLW games to Port Melbourne, Caulfield will be constructed 6 months ahead of schedule 😁

Training Ground?
So the Dees camp out at Waverley temporarily whilst Punt Road is being developed and the Tigers then use Gosch's Paddock? 🤔

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Correctamundo. Even am a Dees member.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
Sounds so kinky 😁

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
What shambles? 🤔 After this trade period this is the best place Carlton have been in the last year or so. A clean out is in process, just like at MFC. As for young Harry Dean, the father son academy at Princes Park is named the 'Peter Dean Father-Son Academy' ... so speak to young Harry as much as you want, Harry is wearing Navy Blue next year 😉

Grading the Trade Week
I am fine with Curnow leaving as we got a good trade in return (and I would say a majority of other supporters are too), this would have been unthinkable 12 months ago but Charlie been quite poor in his mindset, attitude the whole of this last season. He responded poorly to some justified criticism of him inside the club. A supremely talented footballer but also an immature manchild at times. I think our forward set up was way to Curnow centric, when he was out towards the end of the season we became more unpredictable up front and gosls came ftom a greater spread of players. Will be interesting to see how it all looks like next season 🤔 Harry McKay to win the Coleman medal 💪😁

Grading the Trade Week
I think these assessments should be done after the draft periods end as they are interlinked. Even if it is sad for Dees fans to see stars like Tracc & Clarry depart it does give the club and King a clean slate. The Dees did well to get in multiple first round picks for Tracc. I thought MFC would blink but they didn't. The payment of Clarry's salary is offset somewhat by the Saints covering some of Steele's salary. That was a good pickup by the Dees.

Oliver Florent
Seems that Florent is heading to Parc des Princes independently of a possible Curnow trade. Carlton are coughing up a future 3rd. Sounds good to me. Florent had a poor 2025 but if he can get back to his old form it is a good pick up.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
It is hard for Dees fans to accept because Clarry was such an awesome midfielder in the past but he is a bust now. It has been a big fall from grace and let us make no mistake about it, self-inflicted. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on (for both club and player). Clarry will always be viewed as a major cog in the Dees drought breaking '21 Flag and many consecutive seasons of top notch footy. He should be remembered for that. Going forward, it is better he has a shot at redemption at the Giants IMHO.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Very quick and athletic. Needs to tidy up his kicking and cut down on turnovers. Could be a decent pickup. Thumbs up from me 👍

NON-MFC: Trade Week
That was a rubbish offer, not even worthy of Carlton contemplating. This years first round pick is a late pick and 2026 and 2027 likely to be quite late picks and the 2027 draft will be dominated by a swathe of picks for the Tasmania Devils. The Swans offer is getting closer to reality. No giving of pick 22 to the Swans I say though 💪

Farewell Christian Petracca
Tracc for Pick 7 and Bailey Humphrey woukd be a very good deal. Tracc for Picks 7 & 8 is a solid deal. Tracc + Pick 24 for Picks 7 & 8 is a bit underwhelming tbh.

Training Ground?
Olympic Park precinct without Gosch's Paddock is definitely too small. With Gosch's paddock it is probably passable. Reality is the Pies are ensconced there for now and I don't see them leaving there in the short term. Caulfield is well advanced. MCG redevelopment incorporating MFC facilities is a pipe dream IMHO.
