  1. Well well well now i am worried!!! my source told me (if you remember high tower) that Freo would take HILL at 3 sometime ago

and that source seems to be spot on and right in amongst it...... the bad news is that the same source has said that the MFC are taking natanui and not Watts.

interesting to note Burgan now has us taking Beams and shoenmakers!!!!! (like it) but only if we take watts and not Natanui

Since publishing my Phantom Draft at 2pm AEDT on Wednesday, it has been revealed that Fremantle will almost certainly be selecting Stephen Hill with pick No.3.

As a result, I have reordered the first 20 picks as follows:

    1. Jack Watts (Melbourne)

    2. Nick Naitanui (West Coast)

    3. Stephen Hill (Fremantle)

    4. Hamish Hartlett (Port Adelaide)

    5. Daniel Rich (Essendon)

    6. Michael Hurley (Carlton)

    7. Chris Yarran (Brisbane Lions)

    8. Tyrone Vickery (Richmond)

    9. Jack Ziebell (North Melbourne)

    10. Jackson Trengove (Adelaide)

    11. Steele Sidebottom (Collingwood)

    12. Lewis Johnston (Sydney Swans)

    13. Tom Lynch (St Kilda)

    14. Ayce Cordy (Western Bulldogs)

    15. Ashley Smith (Geelong)

    16. Sam Blease (Hawthorn)

    17. Ryan Schoenmakers (Melbourne)

    18. Tom Swift (West Coast)

    19. Dayne Beams (Melbourne)

    20. Phil Davis (West Coast)

  2. Whelan Martin Garland

    Grimes Rivers Buckley

    Morton Bruce Bate

    Sylvia Shoenamakers Davey

    Green Watts Aussie

    Johnson

    Jones

    Mclean

    I/C

    Walters

    Jamar

    Mcdonald

    Swift

    Maloney

    Wheatley

    Robertson

    Miller

    Maric

i know have probably left someone out but thats a great squad on paper

    WOW!!!!

  3. Pick 1 - Watts - Very happy

Pick 17 - Lynch - Furious, he is exactly the same as Bate and from what i hear a bit of an ordinary bloke around the club.

Pick 19 - Roughead - hopeless (depends who you ask) but from my perspective a little bit too soft and needs to harden up

Pick 35 - Walters - would be a steal but he wont be around then

Pick 51 - Jetta - Again mixed reports, not as silky as your typical small aboriginal but did get best on ground in the Colts GF in WA

    Pick 64 - Dawson - NO Idea

Pick 76 - Hughes - Hopeless but MFC have promised him

all in all this outcome would not be good (in my opinion) i would defintely swap lynch and roughhead for the eagles picks of Swift and shoenmakers!!!

if we got Watts, Swift, Shoenamakers, and Walters with our first four... LOOK OUT!

This is what I want and would be very happy with!!!

    1. Watts

    2. Swift

    3. Shoenmakers

    4. Walters

    5. Jetta

    6. Dawson

    7. PSD

  4. You know, I think i've got my wires completely crossed & i'm talking about someone entirely different... OR i read it elsewhere but can't remember.

I can't even remember the kid's name, but i don't think that was it.

that is definitely his name and you definitely dont have your wires crossed....

  5. Nugget,

Stinga did go to Sydney in an attempt to revive his career.

He had a debilitating injury as a result of scar tissue, which was caused after he walked though plate glass.

Sadly, he could not get to a physical condition which allowed him to play to his previous high standard.

Stinga was a great player for the Dees and was more recently on the football staff.

But you raise a good question, where is he now?

if you look iva i already answered this... im not going to say his adress... but he is in melb working at the saints and doing some landscape gardening!!!

  6. mate stinga is a mate of mine... he is at stkilda s conditioning coach and if anyone needs some landscaping done let me know!!!

he went to sydney yes but never recovered from falling through the glass window (which was an accident)!!!

  7. Stating the obvious. All things must be considered and it would have been remiss of them not to weigh up NicNat.

I would be totally surprised if we did not select Watts. All signs have pointed to yes. He has inferred he wants to complete year 12 in Melbourne and focus his efforts on it. The club has already been in direct contact with the family. He decides to nominate when 3 interstate clubs have picks after a Melbourne team when he didn't have to nominate until next year. NN has inferred that it would be preferable to stay in WA.

    1 + 1 = 2.

Actually i would be flabbergasted if we didn't pick Watts. NN is not a markerts dream, the number one pick is. In fact, i think more supporters would excited about Watts than NicNat. Plus, regardless of who you are, I think its folly to pick someone who can't kick a football.

    STIGGA... great POST!!!

i just hope your right.... F$%K i hope your right!!!

  8. 1: Watts (VIC)

17: Mckernan (VIC) If Richmond choose Trengove ahead of him he could fall to us.

19: Walters (WA) Great speed and will be taken in this area.

35: Deboer (WA) I rate him as an easy top 20 but other people have cooled off so if he really will be here at this pick we have to get him

51: Redden (SA) Much like Bellchambers last year, alot expected him to go top 30 but Redden wont

64: Motlop (NT) Very talented young player, definately worth a try

76: Bentley (port) Could easily take CJ's spot in my opinion

disagree with all of that other than Watts i am sorry......Mckernan is inconsistent - his good is great but his bad is appauling according to reports, De Boer is good but his disposal is shocking and turns it over way to much, Walters you have rated to highly and wont be taken in the top 20, Bentley - lets stay away from recycled players - considering Port had alot of free space on their list yet they still flogged him, is a concern.

i think your way off my man!

  9. Melbourne's picks: 1, 17, 19, 35, 51, 64, 76

    My selections:

    1 Watts - fwd/h-fwd/kpp

    17 Blease - mid/pace

    19 Shoenmakers - fwd/h-fwd/kpp

    35 Zaharkis - mid/pace

    51 Redden (slide) ruck

    64 still looking

    76 still looking

Probably swap Blease with Swift if they are both still there and the rest i tend to agre with you

perhaps another KPP at 51 then a ruckman too

picks 1 and 19 i like very much

  10. i just hope we use our first 2 picks on KPP (Watts and i hope Shoenmakers)

and then get what is the best available with our next picks!!!

    A SMOKEY LATE:

    Charlie Sharples

    DOB: 16/2/89

    State league: SA

    Club: Sturt

He played for SA against the VFL this year and acquitted himself quite well, but he wasn't at Draft Camp because he was playing in the reserves when they had finals on.

Charlie is not too dissimilar to Cameron Stokes and they played together for the Northern Territory. He's a really smooth mover is extremely hard at it.

Charlie's a little bit leaner and taller than Stokes and with the success that the Hawks had with him this year, and the same with Melbourne and Austin Wonaeamirri, you'd have to think someone would have a crack at Charlie late or as a rookie.

  11. Well HT my comments on Stephen Hill going earlier than expected and perhaps in the top three picks from my source over in the west wasnt to bad as it seems!!!

PS dont get aggressive little guy... we are all adults......

oh and for the record i hope my view on natanui is wrong.. trust me i really do... i have made that clear!!!!! so much so i would happily cop it from you and anyone else if we do go watts!!!
