Just to clear up any confusion.

Current state of play: 5 vacancies on the senior list, created by Robertson, Whelan, Wheatley, McLean and Buckley. That gives us access to:

Pick 11

Pick 18

Pick 34 OR PSD Pick 1

We've got three players presently uncontracted: Bartram, McNamara and Cheney. Bartram and McNamara have allegedly been offered new contracts (though there's no concrete evidence to suggest this is fact); if we assume that is true, and we also take as given that we want to keep PSD 1 for that "just in case" scenario, then BBP's assertion that it's now a choice between Pick 34 and Cheney is correct. That is a lot of ifs and buts though.

My preference would be to delist one more and use Pick 34, and keep PSD1 up our sleeve.

After reading this surely he would be the one we take if we cant get Ball

this bloke can play and gets alot of the footy... alot more than i thought!!!

i quite like him...

in addition, realistically thinking is we will take 2 mids with our frst two picks and most probably 2 tall forwards with our next two.... i think 10-20 will be when all the key forwards are taken....

so if we were to get this bloke to add to our defensive stocks i would be wrapped.... it would certainly spell the end to people like Daniel Bells career with the Demons.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see where Jetta goes I agree, could be as high as 7 or as low as 20 IMO. I know West Coast are tossing up between him and Lucas.

I had Troy Taylor in at pick 28, or were you refering to Mitchell Taylor?

As for Balck I agree there's a strong chance we may draft him at pick 18, I think it depends on who we draft at pick 11.

jetta i believe will be an eagle with 7 - if they go Lucas he might slip to 11 but i doubt it!! if he does we must take him

Troy Taylor i meant - he is a gun but has off field issues... hes attractive though due to us having davey, aussie, jurrah, jamie, nev. They could be a good influence on him! he is a star player.....

we should take Black if he is available at 11 and Butcher is gone! i think he is as good as butcher

How much do you know about Black? Pretty keen to hear about him as no one really knows much about him

I know that he is very competitive, tall,strong, has a good footy brain and showed he can play with the older blokes too.

That is a good point you make Peanuts but us being not privvy to such information means that we have to speculate. I think this forum is designed for specualtion, discussion,debate etc etc. So let me ask you this, who do you think is the best player in the draft? and if you cant (like many others) choose between scully and trengove (assuming you think it is those two) then would it not be a good idea to consider all the possible outcomes when doing so, short and long term?

Might be worthwhile taking trengove with pick 1 with him being south australian....

reason being if he did ever decide to go home - being pick 1 adds serious currency!!

Black also might be a better fit for us than butcher - he is strong, crashes packs and loves a contest (i might be wrong here, but i have my concerns over butcher's work rate/head space)

How dare you not put Moloney in the 22! He had a great year will come 2nd in the B+F. I don't know why he is so underrated - he performs, provides some grunt and along with his presence on the field, his role offfield is important as a senior figure and big clubman. He will be one of the first picked every week in 2010 for sure.
